Not Again!

It's part 2 of our Ratatouille chat! Martyn returns to help dissect this Pixar darling. This episode contains spoilers for Ratatouille. Character motivations are muddy in this episode, and it's important to dissect why that is.

We're back! Sort of! Thank you so much for your patience, friends. Rebecca is temporarily in Philadelphia, so both audio quality and Alan's presence on the show are subject to change. This week Martyn has returned to help Rebecca discuss Ratatouille! So spoiler alert for Ratatouille.

This episode contains an inordinate amount of dog puns, and only two of them were accidental. Rebecca extends her sincerest apologies for saying both "That one's a little fuzzier" and "diamond in the ruff." Neither of those two puns were intentional. Anyway... it's time for a Pup Academy (brought to you by Air Bud Productions) quiz! Play along at home and see how many you get right!

Welcome to another exciting segment of Alan Guesses the Plot! This week we talk about Trolls, and it goes off the rails almost immediately. Spoiler alert for Trolls! In truth, Rebecca doesn't much remember the plot either, so both hosts end up trying to guess at it. Which do you think is the worst animated movie in the last decade? Trolls? Sing? The Emoji Movie?

We're back! And it's finally time to rate sentient car universes. In this episode, we discuss Cars, Go! Go! Cory Carson, Little Bus Tayo, Titipo Titipo, Super Wings, and Go Buster. We also talk about the important lesson of always getting a lawyer when you think you might be in trouble with the police.

It's time to talk about Elmo's World (a segment of Sesame Street). We have seen the same two-hour compilation of Elmo's World more times than we can count. Also we discuss how Elmo is not truly red. So come on a journey with us, and don't forget to do your happy dance every time you learn something!

We decided to go for positivity for today's episode! Sit back, relax, and listen to us talk about two shows we like: Puffin Rock and Numberblocks! Quick correction: The frog episode that Warren likes for Puffin Rock is Season 2 episode 1. Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom is the show that has a frog episode in Season 1 episode 4. Rebecca got her frog episodes confused! There is brief, euphemistic discussion of drug use in this episode. It's a short episode this week! We start off talking about the lovely Australian cartoon Bluey. Then we introduce The Spectrum of Children's Television which measures how dedicated a show is to teaching a lesson. On one end is no-rules-no-responsibilities Peppa Pig. On the other is too-many-rules-too-many-responsibilities Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. Then we have a very special and unexpected guest (Warren) who kind of derails things, hence the short episode.

Sorry for the late episode! It's time to explore the world of Tayo and Titipo. If you don't know these shows, we envy you. Don't worry, we'll summarize them in great detail. There was so much to go over! We must analyze how a universe with sentient vehicles and people cannot possibly work. There's also a lot of talk of farting.
