This week Andy is still stuck in lockdown but managed to fit in a chat with one of the island of Ireland's best MMA fighters the one and only Chris "Menace" Stringer. Chris is a veteran of the game and most recently fought on Probellum MMA after an almost two year lay off. Chris is a member of the Team Kaobon set up in Liverpool alongside the likes of Mike Grundy and Darren Till. We chat about the early years of training, Chris's transition into coaching, his future plans and what it's like being part of a UFC title challenging fight camp. We also talk about Chris taking on Rich Clementi and the amazing fight with Greg Loughran. Chris is known for taking on any competitor on any notice at all and for his undoubted talent. We are back!!!!!! A week and a half away due to coaching and commentary commitments but Andy and Phil had the pleasure of sitting down with one of Belfast's most successful entrepreneurs in the restaurant trade Gary McIldowney. Gary was once a very successful DJ on the Belfast club scene and branched out into the food industry with the immensely successful Slims Healthy Kitchen on Belfast's ever popular Lisburn road. Gary is a former marathon runner and more importantly a multiple BJJ Champion in the very difficult heavyweight division. Gary talks training, BJJ, fitness and much, much more. If you involved in the fitness industry in Ireland you will know how important Slims Kitchen has been. We talk what makes a good referee, Dec's fighting career and what it is like being a world traveller with Brave. Dec is a modest person and has achieved a great deal in the MMA community and is someone who committed to improving officiating standards and fighter safety; Dec is also a guy who simply doesn't get the credit he so richly deserves.

Folks this week Andy and Phil had the enormous pleasure of interviewing the man, the myth and the legend that is Jonny Burrows. Any person who is in the combat sports industry knows who Jonny is and all that he has achieved in this game. Jonny has fought in some of the worlds toughest tournaments from the bare knuckle NHB of the WVC in Brazil to the NHB Finn Fight Tournament, he also fought on Gladiator Challenge in the USA. Jonny was instrumental in bringing the cage to MMA in Ireland with the legendary Cage Wars promotion along with Paddy Mooney. Jonny has also fulfilled commentary roles and been in the amazing Rites of Passage documentary by the great Bobby Razak. He now still trains and coaches in Belfast in Northern Ireland at Gracie Barra Belfast where he is a brown belt under head coach Graham Keys. Jonny can also be found in IFS MMA sharing some of his vast MMA knowledge with the next generation of fighters that he has paved the way for. We may be biased but this has been a great interview and one of the Irish MMA history shows we have teased for so long. Please share this show some great stories and banter and this will need to be re-visited for sure!

Damien is part of the Kings of the North faction in the Irish Wrestling promotion 'Over the Top' We discuss all aspects of the pro wrestling business including Damien's humble introduction to the life in a community hall in Belfast to headlining the country's top promotion. We discuss his future plans and also get to the bottom of his online feud with Northern Ireland's former UFC contract winner and KSW world Champion 'Stormin' Norman Parke. Really engaging conversation and a break from the norm for us but one that we throughly enjoyed and simply could have talked for hours. Damien and his team will be in action in Belfast in February so they are for sure worth checking out.
