Welcome to Season 3 of Not Another Momcast!

We're back, and we're switching it up this new season by coming to the mic with absolutely no agenda in mind! Come hang out with us as we catch up on our chaotic summers and ponder the future of Not Another Momcast. No scripts, no agenda- just blind confidence and some serious belly laughs.

In this episode, we have a very special guest, Dr. Emma Nagy, creator of My Lighter Way. Emma helps mothers prepare for their birthing experiences and learn how to enjoy the newborn stage. Emma is a lifelong learner and strives to share her knowledge with others in the hopes of helping them achieve a lighter approach to motherhood. She does this by offering a digital course, motherhood mentorship, running an Instagram account, and hosting a podcast- all while being a wife and mother of two!

Tune in as Emma deep dives with us about everything from how and why to prioritize your own needs in the postpartum, to her favorite ways to manifest her heart's greatest desires. Obviously, we dig this chick!

Take some embarrassing walks down memory lane, get in on a couple of inside jokes, and be prepared to cut the awkward tension with a knife as these two worn down moms take turns sharing the things they love the most about each other. This one felt really good to make, and we hope you get a decent giggle out of it!

In this episode we continue to go rogue, and showed up to our call with a list of random topic ideas that we thought might be fun to discuss. This week's winner was: worst sleeping conditions. We really enjoyed listing off some of the worst sleeping conditions we've experienced as people and now as parents; and why they grind our gears so much. As the summer heat sets in, we take turns ranting about the major and minor inconveniences that rob us of our most precious commodity - sleep!

For today’s episode, we decided to do something completely different… We take turns interpreting each other’s dreams! Laura shares a recurring dream she has had almost every night for the last three and a half years straight, and Danielle will do a deep dive into the vaults of trippy childhood dreams to share one that always stuck with her. Our interpretations come from a combination of cursory Google searches, as well as taking into account what we know about each other. So strap in, because in typical NAM fashion, we will get weird, deep, and very silly!

In this episode we finally circle back to a topic we mentioned a while ago, and one that a few listeners have actually requested. We talk about how we can’t help but wonder if the insane tantrums we catch from our toddlers, tantrums other people report seem to be solely reserved for us, are reflective of the fact that we are their safe spaces, or if we are fueling their fires. There is no easy resolve or concise lesson in this one, just two moms wondering if we're doing the right thing in making so much space for the big emotions of our little ones. We have a feeling some of you can relate!

We're back! Today we are going to bless you fine people with the third installment of Game Night, a nice little thing we like to do when we don’t have a particular topic in mind and decide we will do something light and fun that inevitably turns into an actual competition that may or may not ruin our friendship and families...

Name That Tune (a real fan favorite, and by "fan" we mean us...)

In this episode recorded shortly before Laura's son was born, we go over some of the questions that we think are super valuable to have in mind while looking for childcare. As first time parents, we didn’t even know what we didn’t know, and therefore hoped that maybe putting this episode out there would be helpful for any of our listeners who are approaching that parenting milestone and maybe feeling as overwhelmed or just uninformed as we were. Some of our questions even came from our wonderful listeners, and you guys came up with some good ones!

We are back! This is our first episode we are sitting down to record since the birth of Laura's son, just about two weeks before this recording! The goal tonight is to do a super short (which in Laura time is at least 30 minutes worth of ranting) episode to just check in and get an initial first impressions run down of the similarities and differences in being freshly postpartum, the second time around.
