AI enthusiast and NFE regular Simple Austin returns to once again attempt the impossible: explaining Artificial Intelligence to a those of us who are only marginally interested in understanding it.

Taking us beyond the usual robots-taking-our-jobs conversation, Austin attempts to navigate the philosophical weeds. What exactly is consciousness? Could an artificial intelligence ever actually possess it? And if a machine can convincingly imitate thought, creativity, and personality, at what point does the distinction between "real" and "artificial" start to matter?

Unfortunately for Austin, Crude Rude Dude isn't buying any of it. Armed with skepticism, interruptions, and his unwavering conviction that AI is nothing more than a "search engine that talks," he repeatedly derails any attempt at serious philosophical discussion.

Is AI the beginning of an entirely new form of intelligence? A mirror reflecting human consciousness back at us? An existential threat? Or did we just spend billions of dollars inventing Google with a personality?

Simple Austin tries his best to explain. Crude Rude Dude tries his best to stop him. Only our new friend Glenda can shine some light.
