Pierce, Justin, and Luke take a relaxing trip, fishing for good, kind of obscure horror. Is The Fisherman by John Langan an incredible, cosmic catch? Or is it more trouble than it's worth?

Pierce dives into the deep end while Justin wades into the shallows of famed and slightly controversial philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. Join us as we discuss Nietzsche's Beyond Good & Evil!

The gang gets lost in their brand spanking new non-Euclidean family home??? Join us as we dive into the lies and the truth of the Navidson Record in our episode on House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

We continue our spiritual journey through fiction with a trek into the most horrifying world in the universe: New York City in 1975. Pierce, Justin, and guest Emma discuss the faults and merits of cult classic Jacob's Ladder

Pierce and Justin get spiritual once again, discussing John Steinbeck's Magnum Opus(?), East of Eden. Is it the best work by one of America's best authors? Is it the Great American Novel? Could Steinbeck have been any more on the nose than he was here? All this and more

Pierce and Justin, due to audience submission, take a look at a very spiritual film they don't know much about in Terrance Mallick's masterpiece, The Tree of Life.

Pierce and Justin are joined by guests Emma and JB as they discuss Aldous Huxley's masterpiece, Brave New World. What are we even supposed to take from this novel? What is it about this society's hedonism that is morally wrong? Are these character likeable, pitiable, deplorable? What does Huxley think about all of this? All this and more in May's episode of NJABC!

Since there aren't really any *good* Brave New World adaptations, we took a look at a different kind of dystopian film, the satirical Starship Troopers. Join us as we talk about the stark difference between the book and the film and be ready to listen to two people confused about how people miss the satire in the film

Pierce and Justin find a new favorite literary genre and author in Noir and Raymond Chandler. That *totally* isn't sarcasm. Join us as we discuss the man and his creation in two Phillip Marlowe classics
