In this episode we welcome our new podcast producer and discuss the controversial topic of refunds for university students in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic...
This week I talk to Ben Barlow on the Conservative government's led new obesity strategy which includes: mandating calorie displays on menus, banning junk food adverts before 9pm, offering Weight Watchers discounts and ending discount deals on “unhealthy” foods and also making calories mandatory on food, which reflects the widely held misconception that weight loss can be achieved by restricting calories and fat.
We answer questions such as: How do you think the public is reacting to the new strategy? Do you think this new strategy is a bit hypocritical because of eat out help out that also offers Big Mac for £1.60, a box of 20 McNuggets for £3? What do you think the impact of this new initiative will be psychologically?
The aftermath of COVID19 has been phenomenal, but are we in the UK doing as much as we can? Anti Maskers have hit the UK and me and my guest, Shane Blake attempt to unpick governmental regulations and public attitude towards the pandemic.
From 24th July, Face Masks are mandatory in the UK (excluding Scotland), here is a short podcast on the government advice alongside some advice on for people with medical problems, how to wear a face mask safely and how to handle situations of confrontation for workers.
