God gives us counsel in His Word- the Bible. It is more valuable than having the smartest men in the world on speed dial. It guides us, directs us, and grounds us. I arranged these devotionals to encourage a daily habit of Scripture intake.

In the Bible, we have a collection of God's doings for us to share with the world. This sharing will be much easier for us of we actually know what is contained in the Bible. To help us build a habit of daily Scripture intake, I arranged these devotionals that focus on the Word of God.

Asaph laments that prophecy for Israel has ended- the Lord has not spoken to His people. They had Scripture, but not as much as we do today. In the Bible, we have everything we need for safety, faith, and life- everything that Asaph laments in this Psalm. I arranged these devotionals to encourage you to read the Bible more.

God has given us His light and truth in His Word- the Bible. I arranged these devotionals to get our focus back on the Word of God. When my daily Bible reading habits suffer, I use the Psalms and Proverbs to get back on track. I hope they are an encouragement to you as well.

God has answered us in His Word. It contains everything we need for life and happiness. It gives us what we need in the time of our distress, as the Psalmist was in when he wrote Psalm 102. We have much more wisdom and knowledge contained and preserved than he did.

The Psalmist learned of God's wonderful works in His word. It's how he reminded himself of God's testimonies, mercies, and acts among His people. Armed with this knowledge, he set about communicating God's works to the next generation. I arranged these devotionals to help focus our attention onto the Bible.

Out of the depths of despair the Psalmist cries to God and confesses to all that he hopes in the word of God. It provides hope and comfort, but only to those who know it. Without the word of God, there is no true hope.

The Psalmist remembers this about Moses, Aaron, and Samuel: they kept God's testimonies. He also declares that although he took vengeance on their wrongdoings, He answered and forgave them. Moses disobeyed a God who spoke to him. Aaron crafted an idol and told the Israelites it was the god who saved them.

It's not that we don't know where wisdom is found. She cries out from the top of the high places. The Bible, as the Word of God and source of wisdom, is set before us. Still, we ignore her call and choose foolishness over knowledge and discretion.

How do we get the law of God upon our heart? Only by being dedicated to its intake. We have to spend time with the word of God for it to permeate our being. Let it dominate your heart and mind by consuming in it all its forms. Reading, meditation, and memorizing it. I arranged these devotionals to help with this.
