On this particularly silly episode of Not Movies, we weighed in on all our favorite parts of the 2017 Best Picture Nominees.... fair warning: we didn't see any of them and don't know what most of them are about. Also, please vote for best Not Movie of 2016 here!:

Laura conjures her dream cast for this kooky beach comedy!

The Balance rules the universe, maintaining relative peace through a perpetual cold war. Bo Blanko, son of wealthy and well-connected arms dealers gets mixed up with a street rat named Jara and involved in her home planet's Civil War. After being held captive, Bo discovers that not all planets are treated equally under the Balance and must decide where his allegiance lies. He also learned that Jara has a mysterious ability and uncovers a vast wealth of natural resources on her planet, perhaps enough to shift The Balance of Power.

We took some time to talk about the Star Wars franchise and decide where to go with the first installment of our Trilogy. Star Wars - Episode 51 will be dropping in a week or less!

Charlie Day stars in this fake movie about a guy writing a real movie and passing it off as a reboot of a fake movie. Get it? No? Better listen to the episode, ya Jabroni!

The world is being torn apart and two submarine pilots/hippy scientists need to decide whether they are going to try to escape or save it!

Another fun episode and another terrible movie!
