Jake and guest, Karly, go over some talks from the leaders of the church who spoke at General Conference October 2021. Karly returns from the first episode. For this episode, Jake is joined by Becky, a mother of five who stepped away from the church because actions and doctrines didn't add up. They also talk meditation, ways to feel grounded, purity culture and how it effects both women and men, the reality of prayer, and seeing the Mormon culture behind the facade of perfection, and so much more. Dusti returns to tell all about a denial to her resignation from the church HQ. This is mostly a venting session as both Jake and Dusti are enraged over this news. This is a bit of a deviation from the norm, but the 10th anniversary of DADT was on Monday September 20 and it's a monumental occasion to look back on how far the military has come since then. Guests Ann and Dena share their experiences in founding the only military-sanctioned LGBTQ+ group for sailors to go to for support and resources.
