No, rather, innovation is almost always triggered by circumstance, by observation, and often by dissatisfaction. And remembering that it’s generally easier to get forgiveness than permission doesn’t hurt either, because if your innovation is worthy, it’ll require change and likely risk, which suggests keeping it under wraps early on.
