We’ve never advocated throwing the baby out with the bathwater… but there is always an exception to the rule. Thankfully rational heads prevailed and we took refuge in the Disco’s highlight. Time to Restump Podcast yesterday’s shemozzle… err we mean game.  

It’s safe to say that was one difficult pill to swallow and while we’d like to wrap it up, bury it and forget it ever existed, talking it through is the first step to being at peace, enabling us all to move on. 

You all watched it, you saw the unravelling, the capitulation, the confusion and the incoherence so we will spare you the deep details here and save you from having to stare at the painful words on a screen.

Over the last 24 hours we looked at it with our clear calm and rational brains to try and make sense of something…. anything. Positives were few and far between and finding them required a mining operation but we struck some pretty decent grades of gold with Andy Brayshaw. What a performance! 

The unnerving part of yesterday’s loss was that it was more than just a two-goal trip-up. It brought to the surface an array of issues with the ‘rebuild’ which we dig deep into.

We talk Sonny Walters, the shallowness of our midfield and the inability of our defensive structure and or personnel to defend small forwards. 

Serong has been a touch off the boil but he’ll fight his way back and Hayden Young was brilliant yet butchered it at the same time. 

We bring it home trying to work out how to get Luke Jackson back to WA and into the purple and we roll out a somewhat hypocritical Neightbourhood Watch episode.

So, join us for this hour of much needed group therapy so we can all talk it out and help each other through the difficult Docker day that was. We’re all strong enough to weather the purple storm… for as we know a result like yesterday… it wasn’t our first rodeo!
