It’s the SEASON FINALE! In this week’s episode, it's actually Your Commander’s Podcast. We’ll talk to Colonel Phil Kiniery, commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division and his father, Command Sergeant Major Retired Phil Kiniery. It’s Colonel Kiniery’s last days in command, and we reflect on his time and talk about what it was like commanding the same unit his father was the command sergeant major of. Before all that, you’ll hear the hosts reminisce and reflect on their time hosting the podcast. From Andy, Russ, and Rocio, thanks to everyone for listening. Not Your Commander’s Podcast will return in July… new season… new hosts.
In this week’s episode, the hosts give an update on events around the Division and Brigade… D-Day 78, Coca Cola 600 and a Fittest/Strongest Falcon Competition. Next, you’ll hear a deeper dive about Private First Class Charles DeGlopper, the only 82nd Airborne Medal of Honor Recipient from the Normandy Campaign. Then, the first all-services ESports competition was a couple weeks ago. Air Force won... nerds. However, Army came in second. Lastly, the hosts talk to their highest ranking guest yet, Brigadier General David Doyle, the current commander of JRTC and Fort Polk who happens to be a former Falcon. BG Doyle will talk about what's new coming at JRTC, 82nd Legacy, and some great qualities in leaders.
In this week's episode, the hosts talk about what's coming up over the next few months. Summer is here and that means new command teams, events, training, and more. Next, social media usage. Yea, the meme pages are funny but sometimes they cross the line and you can actually be held responsible. Next, Fort Bragg along with a group of other Army installations will have new names soon. We break down the list and what's the proposed name for each.
In this week's episode, Russ and Andy talk 82nd Airborne Division coming home from Europe soon. Next, the hosts talk about the myth busting article from Task and Purpose on if Mr. Rogers was truly a sniper or Navy Seal in Vietnam. Then, an Army PSYOP unit released a creepy recruiting video that's got a lot of people watching and talking about it. Lastly, we'll talk to two Paratroopers who recently competed in the International Sniper Competition.
Summer is right around the corner. You know what that means, summer movie season. Russ attempts to explain Top Gun to Rocio who has not clue about the original or the sequel. The hosts will talk about Fort Bragg's new Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault Prevention Directorate. It's one of six pilot programs in the Army. Then, you'll hear about changes in the Pentagon budget and how it relates to Army Recruiting campaign, Know Your Army. Lastly, you'll meet Sergeant First Class Martinez, he's an human intelligence collector and a great leader in the brigade.
JRTC 22-06 is in the books and closed forever. All kidding aside, it was a great training event and helped build a better team. While you were in "The Box" the Army announced the new next gen squad weapons to semi-replace the M4 and M249. Lastly, you'll hear about the Army's new directive on changes to Pregnancy and Post-Partum. You know, sometimes they do care. It's some classic People First stuff and it was mostly created by you... Soldiers.
It's here! The Army announced the revised ACFT effective as of 1 APR. Russ and Andy will talk about that, potential body composition standard changes, and the most BREAKING NEWS... the tabasco bottles are coming back to your Meals Ready to Eat (MRE). Pardon us for our absence. We're off to fight the good fight in our upcoming rotation to the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, Louisiana. New episodes coming in May. See you on the other side!

In this week's episode, Andy, Russ, and Rocio talk about Rocio's personal journey to fix some water leak issues in the barracks. Rocio kicked down some doors and argued with some people to get the job done. Next, have you thought about buying a Leadership Masterclass membership? You'll hear the hosts talk about how some veterans were charging $27 to teach Soldier's some basic things they can get for free. Then, some veterans are applying to fight in a foreign legion. There's another way to give back and help. Lastly, we talk to Sergeant Ward as part of Women's History Month. She's a signal intelligence analyst and newly minted Jumpmaster. She's also going to be Sergeant Major of the Army one day.
In this week's episode, Russ, Andy, and Rocio give an update on current events, what's it mean for the unit, and what's next. Next, we'll talk about some olds called Gen Z Soldiers the "Nintendo Generation," which isn't quite accurate. It was part of a release saying new recruits are having a hard time at basic training due to a more sedentary lifestyle. Lastly, we'll talk to First Sergeant Eden, a great leader who talks leadership and how his childhood shaped him into the leader he is today. You don't want to miss that one. It's a great story.

Lastly, the hosts talk to Master Sergeant Green, an operations sergeant at 407th Brigade Support Battalion. He talked leadership and his philosophy. We're back after two weeks! Thanks for listening!
