Episode 8 with Amy: "I was diagnosed, and nothing got better. […] The medical industry [has] a problem with being honest... It's so frustrating."
Amy Green is a data and systems expert with over 14 years of experience in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, and has held various roles that have allowed her to explore leadership and staff management where her fascination with human behaviour could really be explored. Always one to view things from multiple perspectives, Amy draws upon her personal experiences as an autistic ADHD, multiply disabled, queer woman, using this experience to better empathise with, understand, and help others who may be misunderstood.
Amy's dedicated to fostering inclusion, particularly neuro-inclusion within the workplace, driving her mission to create supportive and accessible work environments for neurodivergent folks. Lending her expertise to various human resources teams within the VET sector, she advocates for education and acceptance of disability, sharing her own lived experience openly in the hopes to inspire positive change for newcomers to the workforce.
With dreams of becoming an allied health professional, Amy aspires to work closely with the autistic ADHD community, providing much-needed support and understanding. Outside of her professional pursuits, Amy indulges in her pug obsession and harbors a deep love for fluffy Highland cows. She loves playing golf with her husband, and for her, life would lack meaning without music, which is and has always been an integral part of her journey.
