April 03, 2023 EP #147 - The Two Dimensional Consultant, And Prison Patina
Short pre-show clip: during our first phone call, Bobby hits a wall. Hey, it's not always sunny in prison.
As the 24 hour news cycle comes to an end with the Alex Murdaugh case, they bring out a two-dimensional consultant to give insight on what prison life will be like for Alex. Even though the beginning gets off to a rough start, it ends on a positive note, in true Bobby fashion.

March 27, 2023 EP #146 - A Prison Dream; And The Unfolding Chaos
Even though Bobby has nothing to do with the prison drama that unfolds in his dream, he must delicately navigate a peaceful resolution to a prison dilemma unfolding in front of him. I love how, with all the stress in this dream, he still manages to keep a sense of humor as well as wanting to bless someone less fortunate. JD gets a new tattoo, and congrats to Stanhope for winning best actor for his role in the movie The Road Dog.

RECORDED Nov 2022. Seasonal depression is kicking in for Bobby, he finds a Kitchen Plug, the unit has flipped, and a Toro update.
Let me take a min of your time to thank you for making Bobby feel connected to the outside world and not feeling so alone. You may not realize it but you're making a positive affect in the life of someone behind bars just by listening. I love you for that, we love you for that. mama c

February 06, 2023 EP #142- Human For A Day - Football: The Great American Unifier
Even in prison, inmates are treated as human for a day...during the Super Bowl. The hype surrounding the end of the football season is perhaps one of the last things all Americans can unite behind...regardless of where you lay your head, or your political affiliation. A day we can all enjoy together and have some fun.
Pre-show bonus clip included.
I posted a Bears Super Bowl Shuffle video on Twitter...check it out!

About Notes From The Pen

From the publisher's feed

A pebble in the shoe of the Prison Industrial Complex. Notes From The Pen is a modern portrait of American incarceration told, in real time, through a series of fifteen-minute phone calls between two special degenerates on opposite sides of a prison wall.
