There's a big story dominating the news this week, it's the disappearance of 45yr old Nicola Bulley who seemingly vanished into thin air whilst walking her dog in St Michael's on Wyre, Lancashire. Alex puts forward an interesting theory while Tom expresses his deep hate for forensic search specialist Peter Fauling who's currently working on the case. We also look at some of the social media comments and TikTok investigations that have sprung up around the story.

We move on from the Nicola Bulley case to our dearly loved quiz, this week there are 5 questions with a missing persons/true crime theme and 5 questions about the Grammy awards. If you're thinking what's the Grammys got to do with any of this? - it's because in the section after the quiz we chat about the 2023 Grammy awards and the Sam Smith/Kim Petras performance.

Imagine you're a Barber and a regular customer walks into the shop to get their regular haircut, about halfway through the hair cut the customer starts to show signs of an impending heart attack, what would you do? this isn't a test, in fact, it's exactly the situation Tom found himself in earlier this afternoon, just before recording today's episode. So we start the show by talking about that and hopefully provide some information about what not to do if you ever happen to find yourself in a similar situation.

The start of a new year usually brings with it a renewed sense of hope, optimism and the feeling of a fresh start but this is Nothing Seems Appropriate which means it was never going to be that straightforward. While it's fair to say that since 2019 most people's thoughts on New Year's eve have been along the lines of "let's just hope this one's better than the last", the start of 2023 has been especially interesting for your favourite podcasting power trio. From getting dumped to car crashes and hospital visits, we've got it all. One thing is for sure, it's never dull in our world.

We move on and talk about Womad festival, that's the hippy fest that takes place in Charlton Park, Wiltshire every year and we also talk about Genesis (the band not the first book in the Bible), Kite Building, discuss religion, and look back at the death of Princess Diana before wrapping up the show with our usual Quiz and World Cup Chat.

Life can be tough when you run a Barbershop so today Tom gives us an insight into the daily struggles and stresses of Barbering. We also talk about Anthony Bourdain and the difference between TV Cooks and Renowned Chefs before putting our necks on the line by speculating wildly about where the next celebrity scandal will come from.

Elon Musk has bought Twitter so we start the show talking about Elon's first few days in charge as well as taking a look at some of his other ventures and his background and upbringing. We also talk about Simulation Theory and ask if reality could be simulated by quantum computer or, to put it bluntly, we ask "are we living in the matrix?"  before touching on the Mandella Effect, yes, believe it or not, some people think Nelson Mandella died in prison!

We move on to discuss music and reminisce over buying CDs, visiting high street record stores and listening to the charts. We continue the retro theme and discuss Tom's Football Card Collection before our regular quiz returns with a Pop Music & Celebrity theme.
