Welcome back to another special episode of Nothings Normal. Today we caught up with Brooklyn native Dr. Beranda Felder. Beranda has one of a story. You guys know our motto by now, we always like to start at the beginning of our guests stories. Tune in as Beranda discusses how her first love, basketball took her to places she never imagined coming up in a household where it was just her, her mother and older brother at the time. She eventually got to college and decided to pivot and head in the direction of psychology. Beranda has since graduated and now is on course to receive her doctrines degree. This upcoming March Dr. Felder will be launching her own podcast titled “Dr. Felder On Line One” that is specifically tailored towards the healing of African American people struggling with mental health. In Black households, speaking on traumas can be considered “weak” hence the reason many don’t. Her goal is for her people to no longer suffer in silence. Tune in as we cover a wide range of topics relevant to our society today.
