It’s Christmas Day, and I celebrate the holiday with good drinks, good music, and great friends. My guests are Sam Hazelton and John Durso, with music by Gino Brann, Rob Chrisman, Leah Barbata and Dave Glover.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you for all of your support over the past two years – and I’ll see you in 2019.

  • (Ep 47) Hot Blasts: I got Scammed
Have you ever been scammed while you were abroad? That’s the question I asked my friends, and I gathered four of the people that responded to come into the studio to share their shameful tales of misfortune. This episode is packed with good stories! I have to shoot a big thanks to the guests that we’re willing to tell their stories. If you’ve ever been scammed, you know how humiliating it can be. And if you’ve never been scammed, well, I guess you’ll just have to take our word for it.

  • (Ep 46) Michael Webb
Michael Webb is starring as Rosencrantz in Busan English Theatre Association’s upcoming performance of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead – and let me tell you folks: He’s a bit of a wild card. We talk about the play, childhood memories, Michael’s days as a semi-professional wrestler, being sodomized, and memories of regret.
Listen carefully for a chance to win a ticket to the play. More information about the production, including times and how to buy tickets, can be found on facebook by searching Busan English Theatre Association.

  • (Ep 44) Victim Kit
Graham Parkinson is the guy behind the Seoul-based one-man electronic post rock band, Victim Kit. We talk about old man edgy rock lords, how often Matt Damon shits, and Shaggy-2-Dope trying to dropkick Fred Durst. We shotgun beers and talk about offending old Korean men, pissing in public and broken hearts. It's a funny podcast. We're both a couple of quick talkers and fast drinkers, so we get a little drunk and considerably inappropriate near the end.
Victim Kit recently released an EP called Fall a Little Further Down, and you can check it out on bandcamp.

  • (Ep 43) Saku Yanagawa
Saku Yanagawa is a Japanese comedian, he was in Korea to perform a couple comedy shows, and in between he pulled up on the hot spot and had a chat with me.
We talk about his recent time at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performing stand-up comedy in Japan, getting lost in the sewer, Japanese taboo, and how to swear in Osaka.
We also tell memories of regret and folks, Saku’s is a real doozy.
Stick around after the theme music at the end of the show, because we ended up jumping back into the studio and Saku tells a super sad historical story. Get those tissues ready!

  • (Ep 42) Babopalooza
Babopalooza was a sketch comedy show held on December 1st and 2nd of 2006 in Busan, South Korea. A little over a week later, nine of the foreign performers began being arrested, interrogated and in some cases drug tested by the International Crime Division of the Korean police force.
Chris Tharp and Sam Hazelton were two of those performers, and they join me on this episode to discuss the show, why they were arrested, and beyond.

  • (Ep 39) Saul Goode
Saul Goode, one half of the rap duo Part Time Cooks, joins me for a casual chat. Royally hungover, we goof off a lot. Saul talks about how he recently quit smoking. I talk about a serious art project that I wanna start – and I’m gonna need you to hit me up to be part of it.
Saul tells a story about a time he had a stalker when he was a little kid. He shares a Moment of Triumph, and we both tell Memories of Regret. It’s wicked fun.

  • (Ep 37) Jacky Ng
"Yeah, I guess sex was kinda fun." - Jacky Ng
Jacky is a fantastic comedian from Singapore, he's a student in Seoul right now, and he came down to Busan to feature in a comedy show, and join me as a guest on the ol' pod.
Jacky answers my questions about all my preconceived notions I had about Singapore, such as chewing gum, being clean and getting caned.
Jacky tells with detail the story of him recently losing his virginity.
We talk about being cleaned up after by our mothers, the benefits of a porn hub premium account, and there's a lot of masturbation talk.
I tell one of the dirtiest stories of my life. Some people won't like it.
Hotdog - this is such a great episode.
