The news dropped last week that Marvel has reportedly tapped Jake Schrier (Robot & Frank, Paper Towns) to direct a Thunderbolts movie, touted as basically Marvel's version of the Suicide Squad. Villains band together to complete missions dictated by the government.

While there's little known about what Marvel's Thunderbolts will entail, the beginning of June brought She-Hulk's release date. The series will premiere on Disney Plus on Wednesday, Aug. 17.

In other news in the multiverse of Marvel shifting schedules, The Marvels (Captain Marvel's sequel) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania swapped release dates. So Quantumania, the third Ant-Man movie, is set to arrive on Feb. 17, 2023, and The Marvels should open on July 28, 2023.

Wasteland comes on the heels of his EP F*** the World, released in early 2020. As a result, the new album — like many other artists’ projects in 2022 — contains songs written during and inspired by the pandemic era. He released the album’s first single, “Dead Man Walking,” back in the fall of 2020, and in 2021, he earned his first entries on the Billboard Hot 100 with his Drake and Tyler, the Creator collabs “Gravity” and “Wasting Time.” On Wasteland, he enlists the help of other respected musicians including Alicia Keys and The Neptunes.

As Sheff G continues to do his time, the Flatbush drill rapper delivers new music with his latest project, From The Can.

Locked in with 12 tracks, the project compiles some of Sheff G’s recent releases since. He reflects on his current events (“Drum Dummy“) and keeps it strictly for the streets (“Break From It“, “Start Some Shit“). Collaborations include “Kiss Ya Neck” featuring Fivio Foreign, the Polo G-assisted “On Go“, and “Run It Up” with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Sleepy Hallow, who makes numerous appearances throughout.

From The Can marks Sheff G’s first project since 2020’s Proud Of Me Now. Last year, he was arrested for second-degree gun possession and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Yo Gotti has increased the CMG roster over the previous two years, making it one of the toughest rap labels in the industry. Moneybagg Yo and Blac Youngsta were already well-known in their own right, but Gotti built a top-notch roster to raise the bar for rap music with the inclusion of 42 Dugg, EST Gee, Mozzy, and others.

Gotti disclosed that the CMG group would release a compilation project dubbed Gangsta Art after the introduction of Glorilla. Before releasing the official trailer, the rapper released a few singles in the previous few weeks. Gotti provided the project’s official tracklist a few days before it was set to be released.

With A Kid Named Cudi set to hit streaming services this week, Kid Cudi took to Twitter to unveil his debut mixtape’s updated album art.

Replacing the original text-heavy cover art, the new version is a black and white photo of Cudder sitting with a colorful insignia of the album title on the upper right corner. “This photo was taken by Mel D Cole on 9.22.08 in NYC. Right before my life changed forever,” he tweeted, but did not reveal what exactly happened the next day.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns release date was announced during Summer Games Fest, and it’s going to be a slow four months as we wait to get our hands-on the game again. Announced at the same time as the release date, Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches alongside a season pass. The Boys is an American superhero television series developed by Eric Kripke for the streaming service Amazon Prime Video. It follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.
