Though Bioware has been on a bit of a freefall in recent years, fans are still highly anticipating the next entry in the Mass Effect franchise. Those who opt to play Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2020 will be met with a game that's simply good in its worst moments after a series of updates since its release.

The Weeknd‘s fifth studio album, Dawn FM, arrived on streaming services everywhere on Friday (Jan. 7), and fans are devouring the record.

The 16-track release features collaborations with Quincy Jones, Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Oneohtrix Point Never and unexpected appearances from comedian Jim Carrey, who acts as a radio host in between the tracks. After dropping the first teaser for the project on Jan. 3, the actor shared his thoughts on the album. “I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel @theweeknd last night. It was deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony,” he tweeted.

The “Take My Breath” singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, kicked off the album release with a live broadcasting party through Amazon Music’s Twitch channel so fans across the world can hear the songs together. Many are already selecting their favorite tracks from the album, with the Tyler, the Creator-assisted “Here We Go…Again” appearing to be an early standout.

Dawn FM follows Tesfaye’s cirtically acclaimed After Hours, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 in March 2020. The album spent a total of 80 weeks on the chart.

Gunna has dropped the deluxe edition of his latest project Drip Season 4 aka DS4EVER and on it are featured 4 new songs.

Interestingly, the four tracks don’t just appear together at the top or bottom of the playing list but rather at #2 (All the Money), #5 (Push Start), #8 (Banking on Me) and #15 (Occupation). Stream it below.

Disappointing update is that the Drake song ‘P*ssy Power’ did not make the cut on the deluxe edition as well, contrary to what some fans were expecting. After the song didn’t make it to the initial album after appearing on the original tracklist, we were hoping that it would be a part of the deluxe version.

Though never spoken explicitly, many believe that there’s a cold war between Lil Durk and NBA Youngboy. The duo has collaborated on tracks like ‘My Side’ (2017). But this year, Netizens stated that Durk may have taken a jab at Youngboy Never Broke Again in his verse ‘Still Runnin’ with Lil Baby also featuring Meek Mill.

A report states that the line, “That ni**a was f***ed, the moment he ran, he knew he ain’t ducking, his a** out of luck” was for the late rapper, FBG Duck.

For the unversed, the reason behind the alleged beef of Lil Durk and NBA Youngboy might have been something to do with their ‘close circle.’

Lil Durk’s friend and signed late artist King Von was reportedly killed in gunfire after an altercation with Quando Rondo, who is apparently close to Youngboy.

Quando Rondo has earlier talked about his close circle and how his bond led to many disliking them.

Rondo said, “People don’t like us because they know we don’t f**k with nobody,” Quando said around the clip’s two-minute mark. “If I feel like I need to do a song with a n***a I’mma do it with [YoungBoy]. … A lot of trouble come our way because we’re not open arms.”

Many believe that the beef between Lil Durk and NBA Youngboy was caused due to the latter’s bond with Rondo.

On the first day of the new year, Chris Brown has announced the first single from his long-awaited 10th solo album Breezy. “Iffy” drops Friday, Jan. 14, along with the video, for which he shared a cinematic trailer.

He also revealed that Breezy will feature 16 tracks, like his 2005 self-titled debut.

“THIS GONNA BE MY 10th album,” he wrote. “The amount of songs on this one will be the same amount of songs as my first album. KEEP IT CLASSIC… Chris Brown to BREEZY!”

Breezy, the follow-up to 2019’s Indigo, was announced back in July 2020. In May 2020, he and Young Thug released their collaborative mixtape Slime & B, which produced the hit single “Go Crazy.”

2022 is shaping up to be a big year for Breezy, who is reportedly expecting a baby with model Diamond Brown. This would the third child for the singer, who also has 2-year-old son, Aeko, and 7-year-old daughter, Royalty.

After releasing his “FABEV Freestyle” to continue hyping up his new album, Cordae has revealed the star-studded tracklist. When From A Bird’s Eye View drops this Friday, fans can expect to hear features from rap icons such as Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Nas, as well as contemporary faves like Gunna and Lil Durk. The album also reunites the 24-year-old Maryland rapper with Stevie Wonder, with whom he previously collaborated on the 2020 single “Can’t Put It In The Hands Of Fate.”

From A Bird’s Eye View is the long-awaited follow-up to Cordae’s Grammy-nominated debut album, The Lost Boy. Previously released singles include the flex rap “Super” and the Lil Wayne-featuring “Sinister.” Although it will be his first full-length album since 2019, the former YBN member did drop the Just Until EP in April of 2021 to hold fans over until his new album. He also started his own record label, Hi-Level Productions, although he hasn’t revealed any artists or projects from it just yet. Cordae will support the album with a tour beginning in February.

In addition to his reunion with Stevie Wonder, From A Bird’s Eye View will also pair Cordae once again with lyrical mastermind Eminem, who recruited Cordae and Jack Harlow for the remix to his own 2021 single “Killer.”

The first full year of a new platform cycle is always exciting. Developers have new technologies to leverage in game releases, and players begin to glimpse the potential of new hardware. This particular new generation of gaming has had an unusual start. The global pandemic meant significant changes to development pipelines, causing production setbacks and global shipping delays. This resulted in games arriving later and new hardware that was difficult to find – even for the most diligent gaming enthusiasts.

Despite those challenges, 2021 came together as an excellent year for video games, filled with remarkable new experiences for players to enjoy.
