A new music era for The Weeknd began on Friday when he dropped the brand new single, "Take My Breath," as well as its psychedelic music video.

The Grammy winner celebrated his new release Thursday, teasing on billboards across the nation that "the dawn is coming." At the stroke of midnight Friday, the message changed to "the dawn is here!"

"Take My Breath" is a frisky departure from The Weeknd's "After Hours" era, as the song explores how far he and his object of affection are willing to go behind closed doors.

"You tell me things you wanna try / I know temptation is the devil in disguise / You risk it all to feel alive, oh yeah / You're offering yourself to me like sacrifice," his falsetto croons in the opening lyrics before delving into the impassioned chorus in which he sings, "Take my breath away / And make it last forever, babe."

As for the music video, it starts with The Weeknd walking away from the rising sun and into a dark nightclub lit by strobe lights. Once inside, he catches the eye of a mysterious woman who gets him hooked on oxygen -- the club's drug of choice -- which causes his surroundings to blur as he's trapped in a state of euphoria.

That high comes crashing down when the mysterious woman wraps her long braids around his neck and chokes him, causing him to black out. He comes to on the dance floor, surrounded by sea of revelers dancing around him.

"Take My Breath" is the likely first track off The Weeknd's fifth studio album, which is untitled and without a release date.

During the Madden NFL 21 season, we started using the average of the top five speeds recorded by each player, via Next Gen Stats, to get a better evaluation for our Speed rating. Using real-life data from the NFL, and accounting for player performance on a weekly and yearly basis, we will deliver a more accurate representation of player speed on the Madden gridiron.

In addition to the speed data, we find it really important to take into account recorded 40-yard-dash times and watch game film to see how it translates to game-speed. To summarize, we’re matching up the Next Gen Stats data and combining numbers with actual game footage to improve our creation process of Speed and Acceleration ratings for Madden NFL 22.

As you have seen throughout the game over the last two years, NFL Next Gen Stats is a big part of where we’re taking our game in terms of player performance and we’re continuing to find more ways to integrate this data into ratings processes in the future.

ISAIAH RASHAD OFFICIALLY MAKES HIS RETURN WITH ‘THE HOUSE IS BURNING’ ALBUM It has been a long time coming but Isaiah Rashad has officially returned with his new album The House is Burning. The new album merges intense and emotional raps with elite production and Isaiah Rashad is assisted by Lil Uzi Vert, SZA, Duke Deuce, 6LACK, Smino, and more. 

isaiah Rashad’s The House is Burning is the first formal release from the rapper since The Sun’s Tirade was released nearly five years ago.

The album is scored by Kal Banx, Hollywood Cole, Benny Beats, and more. Prior to the release, fans were able to get a taste of the album through the singles “Headshots (4r Da Locals) and the most recently released “Wat U Sed."

“This album was difficult,” Rashad says. “Music is where I go to express myself. It’s what I do to close a chapter. You know what’s crazy? I’m not even ashamed to say it, I really think my albums aren’t different from each other. It’s just me every time and eventually, one of my albums will become a classic.”

Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak and Silk Sonic Take Their ‘70s Throwback to the Roller Disco With ‘Skate’ Silk Sonic, the lusciously retro duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak that debuted back in March with the smash throwback single “Leave the Door Open,” continue their loving tribute to the mid-1970s with the smooth R&B of “Skate.” Where the first single was based around 1974-era groups like the Commodores and the Chi-Lights, “Skate” pivots forward a couple of years with a sound more reminiscent of disco-era acts like Tavares and mid-tempo tracks from the “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack.
