According to the Huffington Post, Lil Uzi Vert's pal CEO Slow claimed on his Instagram Story that the stone allegedly cost the rapper $24 million. After Lil Uzi Vert debuted his new look on social media, his fans had thoughts. Some claimed that the diamond was not centered on his face, while others compared the rapper to Vision, the superhero android played by Paul Bettany in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. “Mass Effect: Legendary Edition,” the long-awaited remaster of the space-faring video game trilogy “Mass Effect,” lived as a rumor for years until BioWare confirmed its existence late last year. Even then, details remained sparse, with just a short teaser released on N7 Day (the unofficial “Mass Effect” holiday, November 7). Although BioWare is also releasing an entirely new “Mass Effect” game, which was announced and previewed at The Game Awards 2020, attention right now is on the remaster, which releases May 14.

For the past year or so, the Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty has been emerging as a potential star — a hard-slurring trap specialist whose sound harkens back to a moment before every new rapper was singing through Auto-Tune. Pooh’s delivery is a slick, heavily Southern snarl, and he’s got boundless confidence. His songs were doing big YouTube numbers last year, but they exploded last month when Pooh teamed up with Lil Durk on the ferocious track “Back In Blood.” “Back In Blood” is now a legit crossover hit, sitting at #40 on the Hot 100. And today, Pooh Shiesty releases his debut mixtape. It’s going to be a big deal. Shiesty Season, Pooh’s first mixtape, is a hard, satisfying piece of Southern rap music that never tries to be more than what it is. If you’ve heard “Back In Blood,” then you’ve got a good idea of what awaits — eerie beats, weirdly catchy death-threats, tons of atmosphere. Rather than shooting for crossover ubiquity, Pooh is doing one thing really well. Shiesty Season has guest appearances from 21 Savage and Pooh’s label boss Gucci Mane, but most of the guests are Memphis rappers who don’t really have a national profile yet. PARTYNEXTDOOR fans will be able to stream his EPs Colours and Colours 2 this week, as one project. The singer took to Twitter to share the news on Wednesday night, writing, “Making the original COLOURS finally available everywhere Friday for the fans. Locked in, will be back soon.” Colours—PND's second EP—was originally released in 2014, while his third EP, Colours 2 dropped in 2017. “It’s a natural PND sound,” G. Ry told Complex of Colours 2. “And just about how he’s dealing with being a young artist, a young man, and all these relationships that he’s gone through, and is currently going through. A lot gets portrayed about him in the media. So it’s great to touch on that on the record.” The pair recorded the project over the course of five days. Colours boasts features from Travis Scott and Cash Out, while Colours 2 is feature-less. The last project we received from PND was last October's PARTYPACK, which included appearances from Quavo, Nipsey Hussle, Lil Yachty, and Murda Beatz.

Shares of GameStop and other companies plummeted in regular trading Thursday, even as leading brokerages moved to limit trading in the stocks — a decision that infuriated lawmakers and the ordinary retail investors who had used those stocks to wage a populist war against big Wall Street hedge funds. Those investors had been coordinating on a Reddit message board to send the prices of those stocks soaring for most of this week, inflicting painful losses on hedge funds that bet the shares would drop. The narrative of an online army of ordinary investors waging war against well-heeled financial firms has transfixed Wall Street this week. But on Thursday, many of those stocks were sold off, despite some users of the Reddit message board pleading with people to hold onto their investments. GameStop stock closed down 44 percent. Other stocks boosted by investors on the Reddit message board also cratered, with movie theater giant AMC Entertainment dropping 57 percent; BlackBerry shedding 42 percent; and Nokia falling 29 percent.

Lil Durk is sharing new music from the deluxe edition of his latest album, The Voice. On Friday (Jan. 29), the 28-year-old Chicago rapper dropped an updated version of his surprise 2020 release, featuring 12 new tracks. Standouts on the deluxe set include “Finesse Out The Gang Way” with Lil Baby, “Should’ve Ducked” featuring Pooh Shiesty, and “Kanye Krazy,” “Movement,” and “Love You” with singer Sydny August. The Voice, Durk’s sixth album, originally dropped as a surprise release on Dec. 24 of last year. The 16-song set peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and recently hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
