It was a misty afternoon on the banks of the Trent and a Happy Christmas for Reds fans, who watched their team climb to third in the table with a victory over Spurs. As ever, it was built on defensive resolve and counter-attacking might, with Anthony Elanga getting the decisive strike. At the other end, former Red Brennan Johnson came closest, but his promotion-winning alumnus Djed Spence was probably pick of the visiting players, despite his late sending off.
