Celeste Duval has built her salon on care, tradition, and the quiet rituals passed down through the women in her family. When social media influencer Mara Strickland arrives with her phone raised and an audience waiting, she treats Celeste’s work, culture, and generosity as material for her next performance.
One cruel livestream turns kindness into humiliation—and leaves something broken that cannot simply be swept away.
Soon, Mara’s reflection begins smiling without her. It watches from bathroom mirrors, dark television screens, shop windows, and rainwater. As every polished surface becomes another place for something to look back, Mara is drawn toward the salon she publicly mocked—and the truth waiting inside its oldest mirror.
A Southern Gothic horror story about vanity, online cruelty, cultural exploitation, inherited power, and the dangerous difference between seeking justice and surrendering to vengeance.
