NPC Gaming Podcast

James loses it over IGN's Spider-man 2 review, Nintendo spikes the Smash Bros Community yet again, Microsoft employees almost lose a big employee perk, and Shadow Moses Cologne is on the way! The gaming industry is just straight WEIRD this week, and we got a lot to say!

This week we give a well-deserved goodbye to Activision's own Bobby KOTICK and lament the inevitable death of physical media (Thanks, Best Buy). We judge whether IG's latest list is accurate or clickbait in a brand new segment, and we find the best Star Wars game deal around.

A lot more trash talk throughout, it is a KOTICK-centric episode after all!

Layoffs are hitting the gaming industry right before its most profitable time of the year... sound familiar? We take a look at the massive layoffs at Epic, Jim Ryan riding off into the sunset, Sony's hilarious free movie selection (it's pretty bad), and nerds rioting at the Van Gogh museum for Pokemon merch.

Yeah, it's a weird one. ENJOY!

We're back after a long break and woke up to Phill Spencer's nightmare! Microsoft accidentally leaks their entire playbook, Nintendo goes wild with remakes to send off the Switch's lifecycle, and Sony's State of Play shows just why they win.

We also look at Mortal Kombat's hilariously bad Switch port, our updated thoughts on Starfield, and we break down the Unity fiasco that nearly upended game development as we know it.

BIG WEEK EH?

Playstation Price Hikes hit the boys hard, Call of Duty is trying AI voice moderation and we speculate how it'll fail, and rumors of multiple Nintendo remasters are abound. Also, major Mortal Kombat 1 reveals and more!

The episode will be early this week since Anthony will be on vacation, but we'll be back in a couple of weeks to run through September's biggest news and the hype going into the holiday gaming season! Enjoy

We say goodbye to the legendary Charles Martinet, explore the early controversies for Starfield, wonder just who in the hell the PlayStation Portal is designed for, and send off the Xbox 360 store, the latest in digital game casualties. It's a big one!

So Read Dead "Remaster" was way worse than we thought, right? Cause we dig into this conversion pretty hard. In other news, the Last of Us show may have found its next major character, Activision's latest moves actually make sense and we don't know how to handle it, and James is protesting Diablo 4 by fighting alongside a rooster named Chicharron. It makes sense, trust us!

Wait, Twisted Metal is actually good? Yeah... we're surprised too! This week we take a look at some HUGE updates for the Nintendo Switch 2, Catch up on all the news from James' trip to Comic-Con, new leaks from Ubisoft and Rockstar, and much more!

We also discover the 44th President's Smash Bros main, so you know we gotta talk about it. ENJOY!

Microsoft did it! Is that good news for gamers? We try to answer as we take a deep dive into their first steps post-Activision acquisition. We say goodbye to Xbox Live Gold, hello the recently revived classic Call of Duty servers, and run through our seemingly weekly Ubisoft leaks!

Microsoft reveals the Playstation 5 Slim and Next Gen Switch? AND the remake-athon continues with the likes of Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, and... GTA IV?! What a week! The team tears down the new Twisted Metal trailer, explores the future of Bethesda with new Fallout 5 news, and more!

Lot of rumors in this one, but guess who's got a good track record? YEAH.
