Colt Gray, the 14-year-old Georgia school shooting suspect, made his first court appearance and was arraigned on four counts of felony murder. District Attorney Brad Smith said Gray will face additional charges. His father was arraigned on four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children. Neither of them entered a plea.
The judge in former President Donald Trump’s New York criminal case delayed sentencing until after the November election. Meanwhile, Trump appeared in a federal appeals court in New York, where he’s challenging the verdict in the E. Jean Carroll case.
Former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will not appear on ballots in North Carolina or Michigan. The decision came from the states’ appeals courts, following his request to be removed.

Former President Donald Trump appeared in a federal court in New York on Friday to appeal his first E. Jean Carroll conviction. In a press conference following the court hearing, Trump again denied the allegations of sexual abuse and said the case was election interference.
Justice Juan Merchan, who is overseeing Trump’s New York criminal case, will decide on Friday whether to postpone the sentencing from Sept. 18 to a date after the election, as Trump’s legal team has requested.
Georgia high school shooting suspect Colt Gray was arraigned in his first court appearance on Friday morning. The judge said the 14-year-old could face life in prison if convicted, but not the death penalty. Gray’s father, Colin Gray, was also arraigned in a separate court hearing.

Teen school shooting suspect Colt Gray and his father have both been charged in connection with the shooting in Georgia this week. Four people were killed and nine injured in the shooting on Wednesday. Authorities say the 14-year-old suspect is charged with four counts of felony murder. He will make his first court appearance today at 8:30 a.m. local time.
