A judge in New York has delayed former President Donald Trump’s so-called hush-money trial by 30 days. The judge said there are significant questions of fact that need to be resolved.

In Georgia, Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee ruled Friday that either District Attorney Fani Willis or special prosecutor Nathan Wade would have to step aside from President Trump’s RICO case. Within hours of the ruling, Mr. Wade had resigned from the case.

Israel has rejected a new ceasefire and hostage deal proposed by the Hamas terrorist group, calling the demands unrealistic. At the same time, Israel has also refuted Hamas’s accusations that its troops fired on crowds of people waiting for humanitarian aid.

Precise determination of the starting date for the COVID pandemic—or, more importantly, the actual date on which the virus leaked from a Wuhan lab—is proving critical to understanding associated events that transpired in the last four months of 2019. Events that repeatedly involved Dr. Anthony Fauci.

As we’ll explain, we’ve always argued that the lab leak happened much earlier than has been formally acknowledged. Most government and media narratives claim COVID began circulating in either late November or December, 2019. But there’s a big problem with those dates.

A variety of reports strongly indicate the virus was already spreading throughout Wuhan in October, 2019—which means that the virus probably escaped from a lab no later than early September, and perhaps as early as August. This earlier timing is critical, as it provides an entirely new perspective on the events that would follow. And raises a host of disturbing questions in the process.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled on March 15 that Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis does not need to step down from prosecuting the high-profile case against former President Donald Trump and 14 others if special counsel Nathan Wade is taken off the case. President Trump’s attorney Steve Sadow said the defense team respects Judge McAfee’s decision, but believes the judge did not fully take into account all the details in the case.

During their annual retreat, House Republicans have condemned comments made by Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). Mr. Schumer said during a March 14 speech that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had “lost his way” and was one of several “major obstacles” to peace in the region. House speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) called the demand that Mr. Netanyahu step down “highly inappropriate.”

A large number of drone incursions are occurring at the U.S.–Mexico border, a U.S. Department of Defense official said on March 14. Air Force Gen. Gregory Guillot said during a Senate hearing that there are likely more than 1,000 incursions happening at the border per month.

Former President Donald Trump’s attorneys are arguing in a Florida court Thursday that the federal classified documents case should be thrown out. President Trump arrived at the courthouse in Fort Pierce, Florida on March 14 to appear before U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon.

Former Trump Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said he’s assembling a team of investors to make a bid to buy TikTok. This comes after the House of Representatives passed a bill to address the threat posed by the short-video platform. The legislation would give Chinese owner ByteDance six months to divest from the U.S. branch of the company—or face a ban. The former treasury secretary said TikTok is “a great business” and that “it’s worth a lot of money.”

Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas) has called for a thorough investigation of possible infiltration into the U.S. government after a customs officer at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport targeted an American performing arts company with Chinese propaganda. A tour manager from New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts said the officer described her as an “illegal” based on his presumption of her religious beliefs.
