So, I downloaded the demo of SSD5 to see how good it can be free, and I was really surprised. I did also replace the original kick in and snare top samples with free ones I found that were better than the stock ones, and it was so difficult to figure out how to swap them, but even then still relatively simple. I made this just to test out the drums, but also wanted to figure out which plugins sound good for saturating drum room tones. This one is using devil loc by soundtoys.

I named the track after watching a buddy of mine carry as support on OW2, and I name most projects I do based on what I'm doing at the time. Lol

Just something I made early august that I never posted.

tbh I was probably on theragels when I made this.

The direct snare is lower than normal because it has it's own send going to a longer decay reverb. I usually use 2 reverbs, but I think i used 3 on this one.

Most of the tones come from the ANA 2 plugin from Slate, and the piano is from Minigrand(free - avid) processed through the TH-U plugin by Slate. Adding guitar processing to the piano really did a great job at filtering it a bit and adding a little tube goodness.

There's actually not a lot of compression, mainly on the master buss and any aux. I like cleaner tracks like this to be more dynamic.

Just a track I finished up that I started January 2020. I still want vocals on it, but I can't really sing, so no. :)

I don't even know what I was thinking when I named it, but I'm keeping it.

It's a pretty simple signal chain, and all the tones were created using Engl ampsims, and my own Engl cab impulses, as well as God's Cab impulses by Wilkenson audio.

Lately, I haven't been able to stop thinking about someone who doesn't really think of me, and I think that's okay. Learning how to get over someone that came into your life is always a good thing.

It's weird; I'm a high-gain loving metalhead, but when I'm thinking about her, my mind kinda wanders.

That wandering made me turn my insomnia into this.

I honestly don't even know if I should keep going and flesh it out, or just leave it as is.

This is just a little diddy I made for a youtube video to review the Caline Tantrum, a very inexpensive distortion pedal. In this track, I tried using as many common guitar techniques as I can: grind, djent, 12ths, double-stops, pinch harmonics, chugs, and I think a couple more.

All guitar tones created using the Caline Tantrum as a preamp, which gave it a 5150 vibe in my opinion.

The chain was gate, tube screamer boosting the tantrum, to free impulse responses by wilkenson audio (God's Cab), then a small filter, EQ, etc.

Just riffing around after putting *slightly* thicker strings. 52 on the low e, drop tuned to drop c.
