This week we bring you a tantalising smorgasbord of sports. We celebrate the fantastic progress of England’s Lionesses to the Euros Semi-Finals (with Tony feeling pleased that his prediction of an England v Germany final is still on). Andy has been working on his pronunciation of the Tour de France riders’ names, as we look back at the finale of the men’s race and the start of the women’s race.

In cricket whilst the men’s 50-over series v South Africa finished in a washout, whilst there were records for Sophie Ecclestone and Katherine Brunt in the women’s T20 series against South Arica’s women. And in rugby we discuss two serious topics – the RFU decision regarding Trans players in the Women’s game and the start of legal action by 185 former players suffering from a range of brain injuries.

With the Commonwealth Games starting in Birmingham on Thursday, Tony gives a rundown of the key statistics and numbers around the event as many thousands of athletes, fans and volunteers head to Birmingham over the next 2 weeks.

In this week’s episode we discuss a great weekend of finals at Wimbledon, with Novak Djokovic taking the men’s crown and Elena Rybakina taking the women’s title.

Rugby saw a complete turnaround from last week, with wins for Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland against their Southern Hemisphere counterparts- setting up winner takes all matches this weekend. In beating Japan, France also secured the world number 1 ranking for the first time.

In cricket, India had convincing wins over England in both formats of white ball cricket, whilst Emma Lamb scored a maiden 50-overs century as England’s women beat South Africa.

We look back at a fantastic start to the Women’s Euros football, including England’s 8-0 win over Norway – and Tony issues a “Get a Grip” to a famous Peer!

We have three guests this week – Andrew Harden-Sweetnam, Phil Wortley and Chris Heemskerk talk about their experiences participating in recent the Ironman 70.3 in West Friesland, as well as some of the other phenomenal challenges that they all blame each other for dragging them into!

On the show this week we reflect on England’s highest ever run chase in the Test Cricket win over India, that keeps the Bazball success rolling, and we look back on defeats for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the first test matches in their Southern Hemisphere rugby tours.

She also outlines how she uses NLP to not only enhance her teaching, but also support the mental approach of the sportspeople she works with.
