Welcome to the beginning of the book of Numbers, chapters 1 to 4. God tells Moses and Aaron to count all the men of Israel, including all the men able to go to war. But He tells them not to include the number of the Levites, because they will be dedicated to the Lord and to the work of the Tabernacle.
