Georgia presents the miraculous rescue of a junior association football team the Wild Boars, trapped for fifteen days in Tham Luang Nang Non, a cave system in  Chiang Rai province, northern Thailand. Twelve members of the team, aged 11 to 16, and their 25-year-old assistant coach entered the cave on 23 June after a practice session. Shortly after they entered, heavy rainfall began and partially flooded the cave system, blocking their way out and trapping them deep within.

Olivia presents Graeme Stephen Reeves who is a deregistered former gynaecologist and obstetrician from NSW dubbed the Butcher of Bega in the press. Reeves was deregistered in 2004 for performing obstetric procedures at Pambula and Bega hospitals despite being banned from obstetrics, and in September 2008 was charged in relation to Sexual and Indecent assults and genital mutilation at Bega, Pambula and Richmond between 2001 and 2003. He was sentenced in relation to assaults in 2011 but served only 18 months in prison.

After induction of anaesthesia there were unexpected difficulties and prolonged attempts to secure her airway. Elaine suffered catastrophic brain damage and died 13 days later. Georgia presents Walter Freeman who was an American physician who specialised in the lobotomy. Wanting to simplify lobotomies so that it could be carried out by psychiatrists in psychiatric hospitals where there were often no operating rooms, surgeons, or anaesthesia, Freeman invented the trans orbital lobotomy procedure. Freeman believed his transorbital lobotomy method did not require a neurosurgeon and could be performed outside of an operating room, often by untrained psychiatrists without the use of anaesthesia by using electroconvulsive therapy to induce seizure and then unconsciousness.

The girls are back after a much needed easter break and Olivia presents the case of Kermit Gosnell. An American serial killer and former abortion doctor, he provided illegal late term abortions at his clinic in West Philadelphia. Gosnell was convicted of the murders of three infants who were born alive after using drugs to induce labor, the manslaughter of one woman during an abortion procedure, and  several other abortion related crimes. Staff at Gosnell's clinic testified that there were hundreds of infants born alive during abortion procedures, and subsequently killed by Gosnell.
