Alex, the Executive Director of Social Security Works say's Mitch McConnell actually told the truth a couple of weeks ago when he said the Republicans were going to cut the big three. "No doubt about it, they're coming for your Medicare and Social Security, something they've wanted to do since 1935". Republicans love to refer to these programs as "entitlements rather than what they really are "earned benefits".

Last month we shared the story of RN’s from Johns Hopkins Hospital declaring their intent to organize a union with National Nurses United, the nation’s largest organization of Registered Nurses. We also talked about the aggressive campaign waged by Johns Hopkins against the nurses right to form a union, which is why the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) recently found merit to the charges brought by the nurses.
