When Mel and I are not buying things on Amazon, we apparently watch YouTube.

 

Mel’s Recommendation –  readwithcindy YouTube Channel

Mel is a huge Cindy fan and describes her as funny, sarcastic and borderline bitter 🙂

Cindy discusses books and has also started to branch out into Netflix and anime shows… but mostly books. Mel loves her candid (good and bad) assessments.  Be sure to also follow Cindy on Instagram and Twitter.

Bonus for this recommendation…  Kelly learned a new word… “BookTube”.

 

Kelly’s Recommendation –  Matt Atkinson

Matt is a Gettysburg Park Ranger that provides some extremely interesting battle walks.  He is funny, knowledgeable and borderline bitter 🙂

While you can find a lot of Matt’s walks on the StuffWriter YouTube channel, you can also just search on his name in YouTube to find his content.

Tangent Tally – 1

On a special edition of Squat Cobbler, Dr. Mike and I return to our favorite topic… Alice Cooper.

Alice recently released “Don’t Give Up“.  This is a song about our resolve to get though this pandemic together.  It appears each band member recorded their portions while sheltering at home.  In making the video, Alice asked fans to submit pictures of themselves holding a sign with one of the words from the lyrics.  Mike and I complied of course…

We are still looking for a confirmed Dr. Mike appearance, but I got lucky and showed up at the 37 second mark of the video

Check this song out, it is more great stuff from Alice.

Mike also continued his fake news story line that I want to punch Chuck Garric.  While this is absurd on its face, allow me to present photographic, non-punching evidence with Chuck and Calico.  Case closed.

After some shelter at home chat, Mel and I continue our long history of recommending Fitbit products (note to Fitbit, we remain VERY open to trying out new products) and provide a cool recipe as well.

 

 

Kelly’s Recommendation – Fitbit Versa 2

This is a good looking, long battery life, reliable smart-ish watch at a price point WELL below the Apple Watch and its ilk.  The only drawback is no GPS, but that has only been a minor issue for me.

 

 

 

 

Mel’s Recommendation –  Artisan Bread in Five

As Mel explained it, this site offers a recipe for fresh bread that is quick and easy and I might even be capable of executing.  We’ll see 🙂
