Music Monday Ep. 166: This week we return to a collection of some of my favorite artists of all time! Falling in Reverse, Ronnie Radke, Corey Taylor, and Serj Tankian. Ronnie was able to assemble the avengers of rock and metal greats from over the last 20 years or so to collab on this epic song and music video for, 'Joseph'. Does this mean here in the not so distant future that we will get a new album from Falling in Reverse? We shall see and we can only hope/pray/have faith. Are we surprised at this point that Ronnie has been able to not only hit, but to absolutely smash the goalpost with this record and music video? All of Falling in Reverse's music videos feel like absolute cinema. Always excited for what they will be cooking up next.

Music Monday Ep. 165: We have another suggestion from  @SparkimusPrime ! This time I got to listen to 'Boujee Natives' by Snotty Nose Rez Kids. Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the music video for the song. The song itself was a lot different from what I heard last week with Kid Bookie and Corey Taylor. It was interesting to hear about their indigenous tribe, where they came from/grew up, and what all of the different words and terminology meant that they were using in their lyrics. Another fun reaction and suggestion! Keep the suggestions coming in the comment section below this video and I will eventually get around to it.

Music Monday Ep. 164: This week introduces another new artist to the channel from a subscriber from 5 years ago,  @SparkimusPrime . She suggested a long time ago that I check out, 'Stuck In My Ways' by Kid Bookie feat. (Corey Taylor). Turns out it was such a solid song choice. A lot of movement in this song. Cool to see Corey Taylor rap. Kid Bookie was a man on a mission with his flows. They fit together very well. She has another suggestion for me from the same comment that she left, so I will most likely be checking that out next week.

Music Monday Ep. 163: This week I switched things up and went back to my comment section to see what you guys have suggested I go listen to. This suggestion goes all the way back to 2021 off of my 2nd music reaction ever. @ianlichty95, someone I know from high school recommended I go check out the song, 'Rolling Stone' by JMSN. What a treat this gem and song was! Fantastic first listen, which makes me extremely excited to get back in to doing your guys recommendations for song choices. It is something I have been neglecting consistently for a long time now on this channel. This is the moment where I change that. Hope you guys enjoy the episode!

Music Monday Ep. 162: this week we look at my favorite artist of all time, Mr. Mac Miller. Coming up very soon will be the 10 year anniversary of his album, 'The Divine Feminine'. His estate is releasing a deluxe edition of that album with a bonus 3 tracks that have never been heard before. For this music reaction, I went with the single out of those 3 songs, 'Butterflies'. It is always a good day when I get to listen to Mac's music. Crazy to think that it had been almost 8 years since this man has passed away. Taken away from this earth too soon. A young legend. Music Monday Ep. 161: We spend another week with honestav. This time I got to listen to him solo off of his newest album, 'Sweet American Boy'. The song I chose to listen to is called, 'Know Better'. I also got to watch the music video. I didn't care for this one as much as I did, 'Crash First' feat. mgk. It's not to say that this track is bad, it's just that my preference would be behind the energy and beat switch of what crashing first suggests. Once again, like almost any honestav song I've heard, the man enters the room with brutal honesty. He repeatedly says in this track that he is insecure and overwhelmed. Music Monday Ep. 160: We are finally back on the channel with another music reaction! I took some time off from solely doing music reactions on the channel, but decided it was time to film another one. What a great first choice to have on the way back with a collab of honestav and mgk. 'Crash First' is a great song and these two individuals once again through the honesty of their music opened up about what to this day causes them to struggle with mental health. I really enjoyed being back and I hope anyone who watches this video is able to grab something of value from it!

It felt extremely refreshing to bring on a brother for the last 13 years to record a podcast. We hadn't done one in the last 6 years, so this one was long overdue. The only wish I would have is to make it go on for another 2 hours. We've covered so much ground in our lives over the last 6 years. In this episode we talk about times when we lived with each other up in Ames, why the creative types tend to overthink a lot, bed rotting, etc. Our friendship has always been carried by conversations like this one. I can only hope that people who watch or listen to this one can grab something from it.

Music Monday Ep. 159: We are officially back with some music from Vince Staples!! Last week he released his new album, "Cry Baby". In this video, I react to one of the singles off the album and it is titled, "White Flag". I also tune in to watching the music video. I love Vince's music but I am tired of people in 2026 claiming that they are oppressed for being the color black. I believe that must people who make up this world don't look through the lens of color. This sort of conversation only puts people further into their camps of whichever side they identify with. I can appreciate an artist trying to express themselves but I believe this idea of, "White Supremacy" bears no weight anymore. If you are hyper focused on race then of course you are going to think everything is about race.
