 In the 6th episode, I cover the amazing cycle all women go through: the menstrual cycle! Even though today's episode pertains more to women, I highly suggest for men to tune into the conversation. I discuss how to cycle sync with the 4 phases of the menstrual cycle and what to do to get the most out of each phase. This includes what foods to eat, how to exercise, how to balance your social life, and what to do to minimize unfavorable symptoms. For those with uncomfortable, long periods, cycle syncing could be just what you need to stop the discomfort. At the end of the podcast episode, I go into the difference between the circadian rhythm and the infradian rhythm and how they differ according to the sexes. All information shared is based on what the majority of women experience during each phase however every woman is different in what they experience. I really hope you enjoy this episode :) 

In the fifth episode, I cover the topic of Naturopathic Medicine and herbal supplements. I dive into the effects of herbal supplements such as ginseng, turmeric, and more! I go in-depth about different studies done on ginseng and specifically ginsenosides (which are the basis of much of the pharmacological and medical studies that have been conducted on ginseng). With the help of scientific studies, I uncover the known health benefits of ginseng.

In my fourth episode, I cover the science behind diabetes, a major health problem in the United States. I take a look at the blood cell and its different glucose transporters to help give listeners an understanding of what really goes on in the cell. Attention is also brought to the liver as I discuss what the liver does in order to be the body’s storage house of nutrition.  In the last portion of the episode, I go over debated diets and if they are optimal for diabetics!

In the third episode of my podcast, I researched minerals and what role they play in the human body. I discussed the function of macrominerals juxtaposed with the function of trace minerals. With this, I included the importance of these and incorporated which foods to eat to ensure that we have the correct balance of macro to trace minerals. Next, I explained the effects of Iron Deficiency/Iron Toxicity and the chemistry behind iron in our bloodstream.  

In the second episode of my podcast, I cover food additives and carcinogens. At the start of the episode, I give a scientific explanation of what carcinogens are and how they relate to our cells' ability to function and reproduce. I also include the three main problems that can lead to cancer in our cells: excessive glucose, high levels of certain hormones, and DNA damage. I look at different types of harmful chemicals in our food and discuss which harmful additives are banned in Europe vs. The United States. Finally, the episode ends with how we can avoid these harmful additives to help protect ourselves against cancer and health complications. 

In the first episode of my podcast, I researched Probiotics and fermented foods. I discuss how probiotics are live forms of bacteria that when consumed, directly increase the population of good bacteria in our microbiome. I talk about the three most common strains of probiotics: Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus brevis, Leuconostoc mesenteroides, and give an explanation of where these probiotics live in our bodies. I also include examples of probiotic foods and how we can incorporate them easily into our diets. Finally, I discuss two studies that were done on probiotics.
