The Real Miyagi & Pizza - Spoiler Free!

The Real Miyagi is a documentary on Netflix about Sensei Fumio Demura, the man who influenced the role Pat Morita is best known in The Karate Kid. Unlike many other documentaries about martial arts teachers this one is fascinating, endearing, and entertaining. You will fall in love with Sensei Demura. I pair this with his Favorite food, Pizza, but my kind of Pizza. A classic NY style slice.

I also talk a little but about the idea of being an introvert and an extrovert. I think there is more than those choices and I think a lot of people who think they are introverts are actually something else. I'm not an introvert, I'm very shy, with some social anxieties from time to time. I love social interaction, I just fear making it happen.

Voltron & London Broil - Spoiler Free!

The Voltron revival on Netflix is a bit of nostalgia done really well. They took what worked for the old show and made it accessible to the audience of today, both child and taller child alike. As soon as I turned off the mic I realized I completely forgot to mention one of my favorite bits about this show, the mice!!! The Mice are so cool and I just love them. I paired this with a staple meal of my youth, London Broil, broccoli, and potatoes. Second generation Irish, of course we like potatoes.

I also talk about really cheap food that is good and delicious to help you through times of financial hardship. These meals were my staple when I was unemployed and homeless but not quite on the street, I became a full time house sitter.

Sense 8 & 8 Superfood Salad - Spoiler Free!

Sense 8 is perhaps the one Netflix series that uses the format of binge watching in it's story telling medium. Written into four episode acts this series does more for the screen than the traditional delivery method could provide. JMS & the Wakoski siblings knock it out of the park with this series and I can't wait until season two! Pair this with a salad i now call Salad 8, it's got 8 "superfoods" in it and I add goat cheese.

I also talk about really cheap food that is good and delicious to help you through times of financial hardship. These meals were my staple when I was unemployed and homeless but not quite on the street, I became a full time house sitter.

Archer & General Tso Chicken - Spoiler Free!

Archer makes me want to warn you that we are entering the DAAAANGER ZOOOOOONE!!!! Archer is a fun adult cartoon that can be found on Netflix, but originally airs on FX. On the surface this show looks like a shallow funny comedy with lots of problematic humor. Yet it has a lot of depth to the story but even more the characters. You can't help but falling in love with these characters and caring a lot about their lives. I paired this with General Tso Chicken, careful you don't spill it, because THAT'S HOW YOU GET ANTS!!!

Best Exotic Marigold Hotel & Indian Food - Spoiler Free!

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a fun movie and I give you a spoiler free review because I really wanted to talk about the Indian food I had tonight. It's available on Netflix and stars a fantastic cast including Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Tina Desai, Dev Patel, and more! Tek and I went to our favorite spot and were fed by one of our favorite people. I love family owned places because you feel like you are being fed by family and the food has that home cooked quality that is perfect.

Orange is the New Black has taken streaming media by storm and made Netflix Originals a reputation of quality. Nuchtchas gives a Spoiler Free review of all three seasons. Suicide Squad & Pick'N'Mix - Spoiler Free!

Suicide Squad was so much better than I feared it would be. My love of Harley Quinn was sated while watching this movie and I want to see more Harley Quinn movies. After all Suicide Squad is all about Harley right? Oh and Amanda Waller. I paired this with stuff you can grab from a pick'n'mix.

Con Man & Greek Yogurt w/Granola - Spoiler Free!

I backed Con Man on Kickstarter eons ago and only just watched it. It's all in jokes and geek jokes which is fun but also with some seriously true scenes. I watched it on Vimeo because I backed it, I know it's available on itunes too. Season2 is supposed to air on ComicCon HQ, that doesn't make me too happy. I paired it with something I think Hollywoo types like to eat, greek yogurt and granola.

Star Trek Deep Space 9 & Sushi - Spoiler Free!

Star Trek Deep Space 9 is working it's way into my favorite of the Trek properties. Thankfully all of Star Trek is now available on Netflix. On rewatch I realize how good it is right from the very beginning. The characters are fully formed and awesome from the get go. The first season has seeds of the future seasons are laid through out. I'm looking forward to Star Trek Discovery. I pair this with sushi because thats what I had for my birthday today. I also talk a little bit about it being Nutty Day.
