Resurrection Weekend is an important event in the Christian calendar - because we remember that the victory of Jesus' resurrection after death is still happening today in your life & mine.

This week, as we prepare our hearts to remember Jesus' death on the Cross & also to celebrate His victory - we start a short sermon series on how we can find clarity as we wait upon Jesus' second coming. Let's hear from Pastor Wilson as he focuses on the character of Peter - a follower of Christ who was willing to go the extra mile for God but made many mistakes on the way; how did he find clarity in his call as a disciple?

This week, the Israelites are left fumbling as they recover from the golden calf episode. As always, Moses represents Israel as he pleads with the Lord to forgive them. And for the first time, the Lord removes the assurance of His presence. Even though the Lord continues to keep His promises to Israel, they realise the difference of living without His presence. Hear from Pastor Joey as he reminds us this week that our lives are not meant to be lived without God's presence.

Do you ever wish you could Control + Z your life? There are probably many incidents in our lives we wished we could undo. 

The golden calf is probably one of the many incidents the Israelites wished they could also undo from their lives as they went against God's covenant with them, almost immediately after He set it in place. The 10 Commandments are very familiar pieces of Scriptures that we know, yet we have to be honest & admit that it is hard to follow all ten of them. Even though Jesus' death fulfilled the Old Testament covenant, the 10 Commandments remain vital principles & choices that we must uphold in our lives today. As Pastor John finishes the emphasis on the other 6 commandments in our sermon today, let us not be discouraged even as we are brought to awareness of the discipleship journey you & I are on as we image Christ!

One of the biggest comforts Covid-19 gave to us was work/study-from-home. The flexibility was unlike anything we could have imagine. However, for some of us, this convenience may have soon snowballed into work/study forever from home. There is no distinction between work/study and home. 

As slaves in Egypt, the Israelites also had no work-life balance. They had to work 7 days a week for their wages. So when God installed the Ten Commandments, where one was to keep the Sabbath day holy & not work - it was foreign to them! They probably could not shake off the fears that they may not have enough if they stopped. Yet time & time again, God demonstrated His faithfulness as their Provider on the days of rest. In today's sermon, Pastor Wilson reminds us that God will demonstrate His faithfulness to us as we rest too!
