November 29, 2023Aspirational reformWhy is it that some countries prosper, while others fail? It’s an obvious question, but one that is not often asked. For an answer, we simply need to look at the six years of failure by the Ardern government. What we had was an inept government of the people, by the government, for the government. What we need is government of the people, by the people, for the people....more16minPlay
November 16, 2023The Radicalisation of ParliamentThe new Parliament is one of the most radial ever elected.Last week we saw a Green MP leading an anti-Semitic crowd in a war chant to destroy Israel. And just days earlier both Green party leaders promised to amplify opposition to ACT’s policy to hold a referendum about the Treaty principles.Clearly, it’s a party that is now more extreme than it is green. The Maori party chimed in with its own threats. They promised action to close down cities and a hikoi of all hikois if the new coalition government dared to challenge Maori privilege. The question is will the new government cave in to bullies or will it let democracy prevail?...more15minPlay
November 11, 2023A Rejection of WokeVotes have had their say and they have said they have had enough of Labour and its woke agenda. While Chris Hipkins is the one who had to front up to the nation on election night, the defeat is very much a rejection of Jacinda Ardern and her brand of radical socialism dressed up as kindness. Instead of building a nation of unity, Ardern and her caucus colleagues used identity politics to divide us into the oppressed versus the oppressors. What New Zealanders now desperately need is unity. It’s this that the new coalition government must achieve if it is to become more than a one-term government. It must close the door on the Ardern legacy of failure and show New Zealanders that division has no future. ...more16minPlay
October 30, 2023Court of Appeal Opens Coast to Maori OwnershipWhen the Marine and Coastal Area Act was passed in 2011, the public was told by the then National Government that less than 10% of the coast would qualify for customary marine title. A decision by the Court of Appeal has shown that assurance to be a lie. We now know that virtually all of the coast will pass to Maori control.National is now in charge. It should put things right. It should amend the legislation so it does what it said it would do....more17minPlay
October 09, 2023Healing Racial TensionsThe 14th of October is an important day for both New Zealand and Australia. Australia is holding a referendum about giving a Voice to indigenous rights. We are holding a general election where indigenous rights – co-governance – have become a significant issue. It may well be a defining issue of the campaign and could explain the rise in support for New Zealand First. Labour hid its race-based agenda from the public and has done its best to keep it out of the headlines during this campaign. But the public now has the chance to say no to the race-based future that iwi leaders, Labour, the Greens, and the Maori Party are trying to impose onto the country. ...more15minPlay
October 02, 2023Media InfluenceIt is highly likely that Labour will suffer a historic defeat on the 14th of October. Voters will be sending politicians a very clear message that they were elected to serve the public not dictate to them. It’s a message all politicians should heed. But there is another political player that is being sent a message – and that’s the media. They are copping as much verbal abuse as the politicians, and for that, they have only themselves to blame. If journalists are to regain public trust they need to put aside their left-wing bias and become reporters instead of political advocates....more16minPlay
September 25, 2023Cooking the BooksLast week Labour released its Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Update called the (PREFU). The figures were better than expected. Labour said it showed the economy was in good shape. What they did not say the economy was benefiting from a massive increase in immigration. It is now clear that Labour opened the immigration floodgates last year to achieve a pre-election boost to the economy. It is of course a short-term stimulus, created by Labour to advance their political agenda. That’s a fact that has not escaped the attention of some economic experts....more15minPlay
September 18, 2023A Broken CountryThe polls suggest Labour is about to suffer a historic and humiliating defeat on the 14th of October. Voters have had enough.Labour’s performance during its six years in power is a litany of failure. Clearly, it can’t campaign on its record. Instead, Labour is making promises that are not credible and a number of its senior MPs have been caught out telling lies to scare voters about a National-Act government. But what will a new government do to address the multitude of problems our country now faces?...more17minPlay
September 09, 2023Labour's Deliberate DeceptionInformation provided under the Official Information Act has revealed that the Ardern Labour Government paid $500,000 to buy editorial comments in two of our major mainstream news outlets. The features did not disclose it was paid content, which undermines everything we expect from an industry that claims to be trustworthy and reliable. The articles reinforced the government’s position on climate change. They portrayed a climate emergency that some are saying is based on false assumptions that have been proven wrong, but never corrected. It’s time our politicians fronted up these errors and said why they are continuing to promote a false narrative....more17minPlay
September 03, 2023Dangerous influenceThe Waitangi Tribunal was established in 1975 as a commission of inquiry into the Crown’s alleged breaches of the Treaty. The hope was that it would achieve reconciliation. It hasn’t. Some say it has become a vehicle for lawyers to grow rich and activists to pursue a radical agenda that is bringing apartheid to New Zealand.Has the time come to abolish the Waitangi Tribunal and remove all references to the Treaty from legislation? Many think so. They say the Tribunal must be abolished if racial unity is to be restored....more16minPlay
