God is the one who created man -God's designation for BOTH male and female human beings-, creating us in His image. And God is the one who designed marriage to be between one man and one woman for life. It is not our place to redefine marriage, to change marriage into something other than what God designed it to be. God calls us to submit to His design for marriage.

In this passage, the Lord Jesus explains why He uses parables. There is a two-fold reason. There is a purpose that applies to believers, and there is a totally different purpose for those who reject the gospel. For those who believe, our Lord's purpose is a very good one. Through parables, God grants the blessing of understanding of the kingdom to all who believe.

Your earthly family is of great importance and is not to be neglected. At the same time, however, your heavenly family, your relationship with your spiritual brothers and sisters in Christ is of greater significance, eternal significance. In these verses, God invites everyone to become part of His family through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus uses the example of a demon being cast out of a person to make a point about the overall spiritual condition of the generation He was ministering to in Israel at that time. This passage, though, applies to our own generation as well. God warns all who reject the gospel that the end will be worse than the beginning.

God calls us to believe unto salvation on the testimony of Jesus- resurrection from the dead. The resurrection is not the whole story, but it is the one event that demonstrates more than any other who Jesus really is and what He did to secure our salvation from God-s wrath against sin.

The past couple of years has been a tumultuous time politically in the United States. Actually, there has been tumult all over the world. We have seen the turmoil in Europe and the UK over the Brexit vote. We've seen the refugee crisis in Europe. We've seen the surprising win of President Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton. North Korea is rattling its sword. What's going on- Where is God in all of this turmoil- God declares through Jeremiah that He is sovereign over all nations.

In these two verses, Paul tells us that God intervenes personally through Christ in order that every believer receives adoption into His heavenly family.

God warns us of the reality of the unpardonable sin. If you are not yet a believer, if you have never repented of your sins and believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ, then it is very possible for you to commit this sin, and you need to be warned about it. If, on the other hand, you are a believer, you have repented of your sins and believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ, and there is real evidence that you have experienced the conversion and regeneration of the Holy Spirit, then you can be assured that you have not and will not commit the unpardonable sin.

One of the great questions many believers struggle with is- How do we keep the Lord's Day- Are we to adhere strictly to a new set of Christian laws regarding what we are to do on that day- Do we have any liberty- Where is the line between honoring the Lord on the Lord-s Day and not being placed under any kind of a legalistic burden- The Lord Jesus answers a great many of our questions in Matthew 12-1-8.

The Lord Jesus Christ invites all who are convicted of their sins and of their need for a Savior to come to Him for the spiritual and eternal rest of forgiveness and eternal life.
