Sermon Notes: How do I Measure?

April 2, 2023 Pastor Bill Themelaras

The Bible tells us that God created the principle and system of seedtime and harvest. It influences every area of our lives. Everything is a seed—our money, our time, our possessions, our words and actions. Join Apostle Bill for this unique and important Sunday of  First Fruits as he teaches on how we measure generosity according to the words of Jesus.

Ezekiel 44:30 ESV

Given at the Beginning: By first fruits offerings, we sanctify our whole life and all we love. (Rom 11:16)

Romans 11:16 ESV

It's a Pattern not Legalism: We honor the King of Kings with the first and the best. Graciously, He honors us! (Heb 11:4)

Hebrews 11:4 NASB

First Fruits is a faith raiser, not a fundraiser.

Mark 4:23-24 ESV

Proportional: The same measure we use for giving is the measure used for increase! (Luke 6:38)

Luke 6:38 ESV and TPT

Faith without works is dead.

Deuteronomy 28:2-5; 8-13 ESV

Pastors Adam & Tara Stewart share today in our series "The Table" At the table of Jesus, every guest of the party is expected to become a host. We must be people who not only join Jesus at the table, but learn to host others at the table. Kingdom Etiquette School is in session; let’s learn to set the table like Jesus.

So, what is the church? Jesus taught about the establishment of His church and its members being part of His body. The church has government and structure in order to meet the needs of people, establish Christian culture in a region, provide proper worship to God, and promote healthy life change and family. Join Apostle Bill as he teaches on the elements of church leadership and as we ordain and commission more ministers at Oasis City Church.

Life is full of ups and downs, yet our hope as Christians is more than mere optimism that things will hopefully work out. We have a sure hope in Jesus, so we can hope fully in every circumstance. Campus Pastor Adam Stewart shares in today's service!
