Obedient Sheep

Looking in the Book of Jeremiah we find the word given to return.  Surrendering fully to God involves a returning to God's ways.  Listen as Pastor Daniel shares from his own life how he too had to make the choice to surrender and return to God in repentance.

Are you tired of living against God's will?  Are you tired of sin constantly keeping you down?  Are you tired of fighting on your own?  Then perhaps it is time to wave the white flag of surrender.  In this new series, Pastor Daniel looks at surrender, repentance, fasting, and moving deeper into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Looking at the final two chapters of the Book of Jonah, Pastor Daniel asks which party rally was the true mission field.  Was it the people of Nineveh, or the heart of Jonah.  Pastor shares how the people changed when they heard the news that in forty days the city would be destroyed, but how Jonah's heart reflected his selfishness when God chose to relent.

Join with Pastor Daniel again as he continues his study on the Book of Jonah.  Reading chapters 1 and 2, Daniel begins to look at some of the main lessons in relation to obedience and letting go of what we cling to, as seen in Jonah's example of life and prayer.

Was Jonah real, or just another story that Jesus referred to in Matthew 12?  Was Nineveh truly a terrible city, or was God just having a bad day?  In this session, Pastor Daniel begins to look at the Book of Jonah by first giving an overview of what can be seen in these four chapters.  Journey with him over these next few sessions and see just how the Book of Jonah relates to each of us today.

In this last session, Pastor Daniel looks at the life of Samson.  This strong man lost his strength, only to be used once more at the end of his life.  His being used came as a result of both repentance and asking to be used.  Despite what you might think, you are not disqualified.  God is able and wanting to use you.

Have you wondered if God can use you, especially with your questionable past?  In today's lesson, Pastor Daniel reminds us of the lifestyle of Tamar and Rahab, both ladies of the night, and how God redeemed them, used them, and had them listed in the line of Christ.  Proof once more that God can use you for His purposes.

You've heard the phrase, "Age is just a number."  When it comes to who God chooses to use, this could not be more true.  Looking in the Bible, Pastor Daniel will show how God uses the young and old alike.  You are never too young or too old for God to use you.

Have you doubted God?  Have you rejected God?  In the Bible we see examples of disciples, Jesus' close circle of friends, who did just that.  And yet, as we continue to look through the Bible and in history, we see that God did in fact use these men.  In this session, Pastor Daniel again explains that no person is beyond god's ability to use for His purposes.

What's the worst thing you have done?  Have you ever thought that God couldn't use you as a result of it?  In today's session, Pastor Daniel looks at people in the Bible who were murderers, yet God still used them to further His Kingdom.  We are not in bad company after all.
