In this episode James goes into his office only to find out from his assistant, Mori (executioner and Death incarnate), that his concern for Luna's well-being had not been misplaced. James finds and comforts a manically upset Wren and realizes (again) how absurd his life has gotten.

"Pity you wrecked the place"

This week's episode of Oblivion Spin Presents, Erik begins narrating a new novel- The Eagle, a dystopian action adventure from the point of view of the bad guys. The Eagle follows James Porter, a once feared and respected Enforcer in the Complex who now oversees Corrections. Having spent so many years going along with and supporting his longtime friend, Wren Winston's, promising political career, James is starting to realize that he has lost all autonomy and sense of self to his overbearingly eccentric associates. 

We begin this meandering epic of masculinity and self-esteem as many such stories do, in a hazy dive bar full of tipsy conversations.   

The Eagle takes place in the same universe as Unwoven, but is a standalone novel and a fine place to start if you are just joining us. There will be especially explicit content at points in this novel, I put content warnings at the bottom of the episode descriptions, but listener discretion is advised for this one.

In this 8th and second to last installment of Unwoven, we get a lot of answers and Luna gets a lot of new questions. 

In this double length (1 hour) episode, Luna wakes up to find that her life is not exactly as she remembers it, without being able to prove or understand exactly why everything seems so wrong or what happened in the last 6 years. We follow her to the soup and corpses cabin by the mechanical river, where Lexington tries to jog her memory, and Wren tries to help rehabilitate her in some attempt to clear his conscience of a gamble gone wrong.

This week we return with part 7 of Unwoven. 

In this episode, Luna meets Aubrey, a meeting that looks a lot different to Luna than it does to Lex. Wren meets with Lexington, as predetermined and as inevitable as anything else that has ever happened, and casually escorts the two back to the Complex. Lex has some misgivings about the series of events, Wren doesn't offer many words that ease his conscience.

In this episode: Lex wakes up, and him and Luna make their way to the Ruins in earnest. Along the way, Lex tries to come clean to Luna, who feels pulled forward with a sort of inevitability- convinced they are nearing a point where the webs of reality intersect or overlap. Aubrey chats with the Spider a few last times and wraps up their story of the months they lived with their sister.
