  • Episode 11 - History of Chimeras

Since we have a new co host, my lovely girlfriend Emily, I decided to let here lead the research and hosting of this episode. She originally wanted to do a Greek Mythology thing but she eventually settled on one of DnDs most notorious predator. The Chimera. We talk about the Chimera from 2e, 3.5 and finally 5e. Nothing too crazy and we are still playing around with formatting so please bare with us as we find what we eventually want to do with this. Thanks!

  • Update!
Hey all! I'm still here and alive. I've been a bit busy in the past few weeks and haven't had time to record or edit anything so this is just a quick update to let you all know that this podcast wasn't abandoned! I have 2 episode in the works RIGHT NOW! I invited on a good friend of mine to lead a discussion on 2e Ravenloft. Until then.

  • Episode 7 - Rediscovering Fish. Stalking catfish, Floating Eye, Verm and Lemon Fish

Dr. Seuss may have been onto something with the "1 fish, 2 fish, red fish, blue fish" lines. Dungeons and Dragons has some very interesting land creatures, but what about those that dwell in the deep? This episode dives into fish of various sizes and shapes. We got fish that are watching you, fish that are hypnotic, fish that are B I G and fish that you can make a good coin off of. Quick few housekeeping things to do.. First, if you are listening on Itunes or Apple podcast, then please take some time and leave a review. It is so so so incredibly important for new podcasts and it’ll make us both feel warm and fuzzy. Second, I am doing a dice giveaway. A winner will be picked when i feel enough people have entered and will get to pick their choice of Chessex, Sirius or Oakie Doakie Gem series. All you have to do to enter is share a link to your favorite episode to anyone that will listen, then, send me proof to my socials. You can find my twitter @and_obscure. You can find my instagram @Obscure_Dragons_and_Dungeons. You will be entered at that point. Last thing I promise. If you're listening to this, just know that I really and truly appreciate you. It means so much to me that you're listening and would love feedback at any of my aforementioned socials. Alright. Thanks in advance!

  • Episode 6 - Rediscovering Rats! Dire rats, Osquips, Vapor rats and Ash rats

Lets talk rats. These little furry creatures are either vermin or pets. No in between in most peoples eyes. However, in DnD, these critters are far more sinister than simple rats. We have 4 rats this episode. Rats that spit fire, rats that turn into clouds, rats that are B I G and rats that are B I G but also with more legs and less hair. . Quick few housekeeping things to do.. First, if you are listening on Itunes or Apple podcast, then please take some time and leave a review. It is so so so incredibly important for new podcasts and it’ll make us both feel warm and fuzzy. Second, I am doing a dice giveaway. A winner will be picked at the end of April and will get to pick their choice of Chessex, Sirius or Oakie Doakie Gem series. All you have to do to enter is share a link to your favorite episode to anyone that will listen, then, send me proof to my socials. You can find my twitter @and_obscure. • Episode 5 Oozes - Original episode 1
Sorry bout the mess. This was originally the first episode of the podcast but, it just wasn't up to my standards. Its got a little on Fission slime, Stone pudding, Bloodfire ooze and slithering hoards. The information ion this episode isn't great so I removed it. Now, I'm deciding to put it back up as a bonus episode. Enjoy

  • Episode 4 - Rediscovering Guardinals - Lupinals, Avorals and Leonals
Lions, Tigers, Bears OH MY! These celestial animal people are known as Guardinals and are the protectors of animals and Elysium. We do a dive into Guardinals this episode but we also go into a little bit of Elysium and the House of Nature within it. If you're listening on itunes or apple podcast then please leave a review.
