Obscured State of Mind

Noah and Brennan from Cielo Drive and Mitch from Deadflower joined me on the podcast. Both of these bands are considered to be pop/rock bands and are doing a great job at their style. Their live shows are more of a rock concert than what the music leads you to believe. We start the podcast out talking a lot about video games until Mitch shows up to crash the party. Then we go into lots of different things including mistaken for the wrong band, Brennan being mistaken for Shawn White, Covid and shows, hot takes and everything in-between.   Follow Them Here: Facebook - Cielo Drive Facebook - Deadflower Follow Us Here Facebook YouTube (Video Version) @obscuredstateofmind

Dicky and Kayla. This couple from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan joined me for a very fun discussion. From infinitely rare things, to sound guy tips, to playing in their band Auramana, and weird takes on cover bands there is something here for everyone. Nathan Barnes is the guitar player and vocalist for the band "Throne" and bassist for the band "Jesus Wept". We talked about a plethora of things (as always) including football, trading cards, genres of music, his band, going bald and a whole lot more. Tune in for a great conversation. Tiger Keg is a DIY Promotional group that puts on house shows in the heart of Holland, MI.  If you have ever been to a house show you know they are some of the most fun times you can have watching live music.  We discussed a wide range of topics including genres of music, the types of shows they put on as well as how it all started.  We go into the topics of mental health awareness and our own dealings of issues on the topic as well as transgender issues in sports.  It was a great podcast with some great humans.  Go like the page on Facebook and stay tuned! High there.  Part of the J-mafia is back and we soar again through the clouds of humanity and back again.  We revisit past events, past video productions by V1, talk about how headshops receive their product, what actually gets you a buzz, and if wax and dabs are drugs now instead of "grown and consumed."  We touch on comics and a growing collection of them. Spark it up and join us for a session. Follow us here: YouTube (Video Version here) Facebook @obscuredstateofmind

This podcast begins with a couple bombshells with David, Joe and Jeff not having any idea we were all meeting up together. One of coolest things to do is getting people together that don't normally get to chat and having a 3 hour long conversation. Join us as we discuss being in a band, on tour, making friends verse enemies, past bands, deodorants, haircuts, drugs, music scene, and everything in-between. This was a great time. Mike & Mike joined the podcast and we had a blast. This podcast was originally 2hrs and 20min long but we had an error with our audio recording that blanked out in the middle of the podcast. So you get the beginning and the last 45min of the podcast. Still almost an hour of material. We discussed a lot of things but I think we have lots of silly stories to tell in this section thats released including the infamous Carnival of Chaos and more. After this podcast we are moving to a new system of recording everything to one computer. Wish us luck! Because we need it! Haha. The guys from Let it Rot joined me for a very fun conversation.  We talk about their specific genre of music and how to break the mold to be a breakout band.  We talk about their comeback from quarantine and what is on the horizon for them as a band.  We delve into their backgrounds as musicians and personal life with stories of terrible dreams.  We play Top 10 Alternate Band names, a new segment and discuss video games. Alex Diesel joined me for a very interesting and hilarious at times discussion.  We discussed how his old band Sin Theorem was able to rise above the ranks and make it as far as they did.  What does it take to be "top level"?  We talk about it.  We get in-depth in how Merchlive was started and to where he is today with Pigfish Printing growing outside of an in-home business to multiple partners and his two other magazines Backstage Pass and Dime Mag.  This was a great time and I hope you enjoy the story. Jordan Delgado rejoins me on the podcast.  He first came on way back at #3.  He helped steer this in the direction it is going today.  If you are into absolute ridiculousness then that one and this podcast is for you.  We discuss everything from Frokus Fest going on this September 4th and 5th in Bay City, MI, strippers, viagra, and cock choir that sings carols around Christmas time.
