After one year of doing observing others podcasts, we have learned and relearned, over and over again, that the most powerful conversations are about giving another person time of possession.
Better yet, let's call it time of attention.
Compare these two phrases: Seeking attention and paying attention.
Which is more powerful:
attention seeking
or
attention to detail?
When you give another person time of possession you shift the attention from you to them. The magic is in paying attention. Listening is the secret sauce. It is in the attention to detail that makes the thing shine.
Attention to detail.
What does that really mean?
Come listen to a tale of attention to detail that started in a garage, but rose above the pack to finds its place among the best in the business!
It's the all American success story!
With a lot of fine foreign wheels along the way.
Mostly, it is the result of hard work and attention to detail.
We think attention to detail is more than just the "fine tooth comb" approach.
It is the kind of "white glove treatment" customers deserve.
And, today see how Blake and Coatic-Lab Automotive Studio delivers!
On this podcast we talk about 3 E's of social media.
We call them the Jerem E's
Thank you, Jeremy, for the use and abuse of your name
and coming up with the 3 E's!
The 3 Jeremy's are:
Educate
Engage
Entertain
And, since it was a Media Making Monday, we used large pool balls to emphasize the E's!
Plus we had some great FastPitch Speed Podcasters on this Episode!
Thanks

Do you know how to load a handgun?
Do you know how to hold a handgun?
Do you know how to fire a a handgun?
Today we discover the importance of "hands on" experience as we talk about handguns, concealed weapons, and the importance of safety.
Especially when situations escalate quickly.
Today's guest, Steve Morrow, shares valuable insights into the importance of competence and confidence for those who own guns with the intention of using them to defend themselves.

Today we podcast from a beautiful location!
A place where customers come first!
And it shows.
Especially in the show room!
But we began our podcast by calling out some bad behavior.
We used a lot of "B" words.
They are like the Bs of Bad Behavior.
The terribles.
The Terrible B's
Here were a few. Begging, Bragging, Bashing, Bullying, Belittling, Beguiling, Bemoaning, Behooving.
Beware of them.
(we left out bribing!)
You will find these Bs all over social media. These B's are what not to wear (ie what not to say) they are the poorest way to get people's attention or used as persuasion.
We can all fall victim to them on Facebook, LinkedIn etc.
They are the worst ways to promote self.
You have seen the nature of these kinds of posts. Those who bash others seem to think by making someone else look bad it, in some way, boosts their own value. But, exactly the opposite occurs. Those who bash their former employers, their EXs etc.
They may get some attention, but it is still a poor way to promote anything positive.
Then there are the beggars whose posts seem to always be about pleas for money or suggestions or or pretty much anything that the needy person needs. We may unfollow and even unfriend those who spend too much time begging and taking. It may not be as bad as bashing, but it certainly is a close second.
Not too far from bashing and begging, one finds bragging in the form of pictures as well as words. Think of the friends you have who rarely post on Facebook, but when they do, it is always about some great accomplishment or some exotic place they have been. Perhaps it is the pattern of behavior of bashing and begging and bragging, not a specific post, that makes these poor forms of promotion such a turn off.
The rest of the B's are just as bad.
Beguiling (lying) Behooving (preachy) Bemoaning (complaining)
You get the picture.
But, by far, the worst form of drawing attention on social media is bullying. It is similar to bashing but cyberbullying is no different than it's horrible real life counterpart. Bullying is bullying no matter what form it takes.
Instead of these bad behaviors, we found a better word to talk about.
A word worth practicing.
The word is Finesse.
One definition of finesse is this: to do something in a subtle or delicate manner. In a lot of ways finesse is like a balancing acrobat on a tight wire. She is agile and gracefully, balancing ever so carefully so as not to fall. Or perhaps finesse is the dancer, working the room or dance floor, naturally avoiding stepping on toes or bumping into people.
If you are socially awkward in the first place, then your dance moves will look fake or forced, and you will, more than likely, bump into someone or step on someone with something you say or do.
You really only have two choices then. The two choices are the difference between success and failure. You can avoid dancing, altogether, or you can acquire the necessary dance steps, by learning and practicing.
At some point, with consistent effort, you will be able to, effortlessly, move about the dance floor, with finesse, and gain the necessary influence to succeed.
Finessse walks the fine line to not fall into the behavior patterns of bashing, begging, bragging, bullying, bribing or beguiling.
Add Finesse to the Prop and you have the secret sauce!
Building camaraderie and community.
It takes more than a building.
It takes the right blend of people and passion.
Join us for a grand opening that has a lot of both.
It's called GYVR HUB.
It's a new co-working space built around a community for building a community!
The word "prop" comes from the theater.
It is short for "theater property".
So it's fitting in a theater we talk about props!
Without the right prop, the act might be lacking.
With the right prop, the act can be amazing!
Props have impact.
Just as props are tools of the trade for theater, all individuals and
industries have the potential to have an arsenal of similar props and tools available
to them.

These props can change hands and can become talkng points.
They are often the ice breaking small talk of initial conversations.
The important thing is that they become part of the discussion not a distraction.
Listen in and find out how Media Kit Mondays uses props to prop up a message.

Starting and running a business can be complex and complicated.
But it doesn't always have to be.
Especially when you put policies and processes in place.
Listen as two laywers share their insights from years of the practice of law.
Call it the "lessons" they have learned over the years as lawyers.
Especially lessons about how to treat employees: the greatest asset of any business.
Organic conversations turn into organic connections.
Organic connections can turn into organic collaborations.
We want to be confluencers!
It's about conversations, connections and collaborations.
Begin by making introductions.
From those introductions flow natural conversations.
From those natural conversations come deeper connections.
From those organic connections we use media to allow organic collaborations.
