When thinking about leaders, it's important that there is a level of inclusivity that allows all to be successful in their positions in the workplace. This isn't a grand idea that is hard to attain. There are simple behaviors that leaders can exhibit and practice to ensure the people they serve can soar. In this episode, I have Tyrone Void, a campus administrator in the school district I am in, join me in a conversation around leaders and inclusivity. I chose Tyrone for this topic because we are able to have respectful and transparent conversations around sometimes hard-to-navigate content. As you will hear, one leadership topic ALWAYS goes off into another and we weave together different themes all related together or eloquently put, get in some rabbit holes. Either way, I hope you examine yourself in the leadership capacities that you serve and ask yourself, are you being inclusive in your communications, words, implicit and explicit messaging, and behaviors. The word edification means the instruction or improvement of a person morally or intellectually.
