obSETHed

This is an episode like no other.
I heard STUART on the podcast SPEAK LA (you should check them out)
It was like nothing I had ever heard and after the podcast episode I felt so rejuvenated!

So I asked him to come on an obSETHed episode and it turned into one of the most honest conversations I have ever had.

Please take a listen, and if you would like a part 2, please let me know by emailing: [email protected]

Bruno Amato is setting out to save the country.
From Kevin McCarthy.

Bruno is a working Actor and never imagined he would be running for office.
But at this point in time, he knows we need some change from the direction we are heading.

Whether you work in entertainment and want to hear about Bruno the Actor
or you are a constituent of his district of Bakersfield California and want to learn more about Bruno's background and beliefs, this is the podcast for you.

Don't forget to check out his website

I have been wanting to sit down with my friend Akilah Green and learn about her writer's journey for a long time. It was worth the wait!

Akilah has used her unique voice to navigate Washington DC as a Lobbyist and navigate Hollywood as a much sought after Writer/Producer.

I have so many questions about the process of writing and collaborating with other artists in a Writers Room, and thankfully Akilah has the patience to walk me through them.

She is one of the funniest people I follow on Twitter. If you would also like to follow her commentary, her handle is @akilahgreen

Enjoy the episode!

I can't tell you how many times I had to look up the spelling of ENTREPRENEUR!
So frustrating!

Anyway, Darren Darnborough is a great guy that I had  wanted to meet for a quite a while.

I had heard of him because he is the CEO and CO-FOUNDER of WeAudition, and before I signed up on the platform, I wanted to learn more about it and how it came to be.

I loved talking to Darren about acting, making projects and being an (here goes that freaking word again...) entrepreneur in the entertainment business.

I am loving WeAudition and you should really check it out!!!

Casting Director Mark Sikes casts independent features, was one of the first paid bloggers in entertainment sphere, and produced an award winning documentary about a mysterious production he helped cast.

I wanted to interview him while I was reading his book HOLLYWOOD MADE SIMPLE.
The book blew me away and I knew we had to discuss it.

He is such a good gentleman, and really nothing was off limits during our talk (even his email address)

Once upon a time,
I was lucky enough to be represented by the amazing Jay Schachter.
And I am still lucky enough to be friends with him.

I never stop learning, and I never stop laughing.
And I must say...it is so nice to have someone in this business I can really trust.

Jay is Head of Film and Television at
Stewart Talent,
Which has offices across the U.S.

Jay is a true one-of-a-kind person.
And I just love that mutha brutha!

I think it is important to discuss what happens if you decide the entertainment industry is no longer fulfilling your dreams.

What if you want to move on from it but are afraid there is nothing else out there that could make you happy?

Well, in this obSETHed special series, we will talk to people who are truly happy with their LIFE AFTER entertainment. And we will discuss the business in the unique way that only they can see it...in hindsight.

My first guest in Carol Elsner.
She is a fantastic human, and for years worked as a highly respected commercial agent in Hollywood.

What made her decide to move on from it?
How did she know what she wanted to try next?
How has her life changed and how does she view the business of agenting now?

Tune in to find out!

Oh, and thanks for listening!

Rose Rosen is such a great guest! So funny and honest!
She is a  CSA Casting Director based out of Tampa, Florida.
She casts film, tv, commercials, reality and print!

She also created a great youtube series with fellow CD Kim Swanson.
The pair talk about current events in entertainment and have special guests from all over the industry.

You can watch them here:

Rose was fascinating to talk to and I am sure you will get a lot of this episode!

Daniel Cabeza is a Casting Executive at Fox Entertainment, and I have to tell you, man, I learned so much from this episode!

This one is a must-listen and way more like a Master Class than an interview.
You can follow Daniel on Twitter, which I always find amusing!
