As the founder and owner of Alternative Strategies Group, Inc, in Sioux Falls, SD, discusses the benefits of NAAIM and their conferences, and his firm.  He uses Long/Short, Sector Rotation, Volatility strategy, and other strategies for his clients.

Jane Fox, founder and owner of Quantitrader, former corporate employer, left Bechtel Corp. to become a full time trader.  She has a strategy qualifiying as a Finalist at the conference's NAAIM Shark Tank, and discusses this strategy.  Technical Analysis based, she created algorythms to trade in the stocks in the S&P 500.  In addition, she now provides signals for subscribers.  It is a Rules Based Investment System.

Dr. Harloff, with a PhD in Engineering and former employee of NASA, is a finalist at the NAAIM Shark Tank.  He discusses his strategy, a combination of the S&P 500 long and inverse and government bonds long and inverse designed to outperform a standard 60/40 portfolio.  Generating long term signals on these positions, he provides them for his clients and other Advisors.  He has 13 strategies.  His motto - "Believe in Active Management."

The Business Development Officer of Spectrum Financial in Virginia Beach, Virgina, Emily is the President of NAAIM.  She discusses her company's membership in NAAIM since 1990 and her committment to NAAIM's learning and collaboration.  Spectrum Financial is a money manager and RIA, with retail clients, investment services to Advisors, and institutions, managing Fixed Income as their specialty.

Practicing in Annapolis, Maryland, Carl, a CMT,  is the owner of Sera Capital and is a NAAIM Shark Tank Finalist for this conference.  He discusses his alternative to cash, thru Volativity and 10 year Bond.  It is an inverse investment on the VIX.  He uses this for his clients and makes it available to other Advisors. He also discusses their new book.

Shauna reached her initial goal in just six months and presented the one-millionth letter to President Bush in the Oval Office of the White House. Now, 13 years later, the organization has expanded to three missions: sending thank you letters to active duty military, granting wishes to injured veterans, and providing higher education scholarships to children of fallen military.

A Million Thanks has taken Shauna across the United States, speaking to groups about “The Power of One”. She published a book chronicling her journey to the White House, to becoming a Department of Defense spokesperson, to partnering with General Motors, Southwest Airlines, and actors like Gary Sinise and Jessica Simpson, and to being interviewed by various media more than 300 times.
