CIA Files: The UK Housewife Who Spoke to Dead Composers

Hello Seekers! We are in a MASSIVE heatwave out in Europe right now - so much so that everythig is closed due to the heat and my computer's fan sounds like a commercial airplane trying to take off. Everything is melting, so I thought a good way to keep up the pace is to debut our first ever OSP (technically, Bizarre States Ressurected) re-run! For those that haven't listened to my old Bizaare States Ressurected podcast - DON'T! They're terrible! However, I listened through it myself, cleaned up and edited my audio and found that the bones for a wonderfully weird history episode are there and worthy of a retread. With that, I hope you're cooling your legs in a pool and sipping on some sort of tropical beverage as we take a short weird history podcast break with The Mysterious Magician of World War II - Jasper Maskelyne. As always, thank you for getting weird with me (and stay cool)!

BSR/OSP Classic: (Rerun) The Mysterious Magician Of World War II - Jasper Maskelyne

Hello Seekers! First off, two things: 1.) I am so so sorry for the quality of my voice in this episode. I got hit with a MASSIVE cold that wiped me out for about two weeks (including during the entierty of my vacation), and I'm just not bubbling back up to the surface. My apologies that I sound all snotty and sniffly. 2.) What do Virginia Woolf, Aleister Crowley, W.B. Yeats, Peter Warlock, a mysterious death on a Cornish hillside and my vacation a few months back have in common? Way more than you'd think. This week on Occulture Shock, I explore the hidden connections between the Bloomsbury Group, the Mermaid of Zennor, my personal roadtrip out there and the occult's over-exposed bad boy, Aleister Crowley and his supposed connection to all of it. As always, I hope you enjoy and thanks for getting weird with us! Ps: Do you know we have a Patreon where you can get episodes early and ad-free? Interested? Then join us...join us...JOIN US at: Patreon.com/OccultureShockPodcast
