The service began with the choir and congregation singing "Bind Us Together," "Come All Christians Be Committed" and "Teach Me O Lord I Pray." A male soloist then blessed the congregation with the singing of "The Wonder of It All."

Dr. McIntyre's message was based on Psalm 68: 13 in which he challenged the congregation to pursue their high calling in Christ Jesus. Unfortunately the last part of this message is not available.     

This recording contains the full evening service for First Baptist. The service began with the singing of "Jesus Saves" followed by the announcement of the upcoming "Living Christmas Tree," The Harvest Banquet" and "M Night." Following a selection by the Youth Choir the congregation sang "The Solid Rock."

Dr. McIntyre's message was based on the Scripture on the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus went a little farther for us and we should be willing to go wherever the story needs to be told.

Dr. McIntyre asked the question, "Can we determine what God wants for us?" The answer was "yes." He provides guide points in Scripture and wants to help us and provide direction in our lives. The Lord wants us to live close to Him, to walk moment by moment in the joy of that closeness. He wants wonderful things for us and wants us to call on Him.    

This recording is of the full evening service at First Baptist with hymn request night including "Amazing Grace," It Is Well With My Soul," and "Heavenly Sunlight." James Turner gave a report on the Commitment to Stewardship program. Once again for the day Dr. McIntyre was the guest speaker and a special welcome was given to those of his family in attendance including his sister-in-law Mrs. Turley. A male soloist preceded the evening message. 

Dr. McIntyre's message dealt with a history of the early church in Antioch where the believers were first known as Christians. As this church was known for its evangelistic outreach Brother McIntyre encouraged the congregation of First Baptist to pattern their church after this church of the early Christians. 

Dr. McIntyre gave his morning message telling the story of Isaac and the  altar built, the tent pitched and the well dug and how we must dig wells spiritually for the blessings of others. We must examine our lives and order our priorities accordingly. This was the first message by Dr. McIntyre as interim pastor at First Baptist Church of Jackson, Tennessee.

This Baptist Sunday School Board chapel marked the final time Dr. McIntyre spoke as an employee of the Board. His message taught that God's solid foundation stands firm and He knows those who are His. We must build our lives on that strong foundation.

The chapel service began with the organist playing "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring" followed by the employees singing "Count Your Many Blessings." A male soloist sang "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" and a male duet sang "Hiding in Thee."

Dr. McIntyre was introduced as a man with 40 years of ministry. He served for 18 years at Brainerd Baptist Church, has been President of the Tennessee Baptist Convention and has spent the last decade serving in the Sunday School Board.

On this final evening Brother McIntyre challenged everyone to pattern their church after the New Testament Church of Antioch. The Antioch church was a church that changed lives and touched people. A church that was evangelistic and a missionary minded. He encouraged everyone to pattern their church after this church that he knew Jesus would like. 

The conference message for this Wednesday evening was on the pathways Jesus walked. He went where He was needed. We too need to walk the roads Jesus walked. Roads of testimony and service. Brother McIntyre asked the participants how far were they willing to walk with Jesus.

For this second conference message Dr. McIntyre starts off telling about his granddaughter Katy Sue who was 23 months old. He said when he visits she comes up to him calling "Granddaddy me." She was not only his granddaughter but they were true friends. So also Jesus was a friend to many and He needed friends too such as Mary, Martha and Lazarus. We too should be thankful to the Father for giving Jesus to us as a true friend to love, worship and adore and so should we be a friend to a hurting world. 

This is the first of series of message by Dr. McIntyre for a week long conference at the Glorieta Media Center.

The people in John 6 followed Jesus because they saw something wonderful happen. The challenge to the conference participants was to reaffirm their love for the Lord and to recommit their lives to Him and determine whatever time they have in this life to become the "because" for others coming to Jesus.
