This was the first sermon Dr. McIntyre preached following the passing of his wife Sue McIntyre. He shared the privileges and benefits of being a Christian which is a treasure only the rest of the world can imagine. The Christian life is built on the sure foundation of our hope.

The choir sang "How Firm a Foundation," "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" and "To God Be The Glory." Harry Hampsher blessed the congregation singing "Rock of Ages" and "How Great Thou Art."

For the morning message Dr. McIntyre encouraged the congregation to rejoice in the glories of the grace of God that is shared with us in the wonders of the revelation God has given in His word and the expression of grace that is completely filled in the presence of Jesus and the wonder of that grace that He has freely made available to everyone of us.

Special music was a big part of this morning service at Brainerd Baptist Church. There was one solo and two duets with one selection being "It Took a Miracle." The choir had five pieces including "This is My Story" and "Wonderful Grace of Jesus." In his traditional role a solo by Harry Hampsher immediately preceded the message.
